My pc got fucked by Vanguard (League)
Added 2024-11-14 13:54:34 +0000 UTCSo I booted up League and it gave me the blue screen of death. I checked what the system failure cause was and it was “vgk.sys” which upon search it says it was vanguard. Now it booted up normally after the bsod but I was still wanting to play League so I booted it up and updated and it says it needs restart. So I restarted my pc and boom my pc does not boot properly. It only says this when booting up:
reboot and select proper boot device
I checked the BIOS and my ssd is still recognized but Its still stuck at that message when restarting.
Any help? I don’t want to lose all my stuff all my artworks.

I think someone found a fix of it (mainly for league) but forgot how. Might wanna google that. Shame it happens though. I uninstalled Riot Launcher and LoL immediately the moment I heard the news. Surprised they didn't fix it to this day.

2024-11-14 15:25:10 +0000 UTCI'm sure your harddrive's fine. The rest though, I don't know. Now from what I've heard, it's a problem riot has with Windows 11 because of their anti-cheating thing. This is a problem since a year I think. Vanguard's an anti-cheating thing but it's a kernel type, meaning it roots to your PC's parts (forgot which to be specific). I've heard of it affecting Valorant but not League. Must be new or something.

2024-11-14 14:28:18 +0000 UTCNot amazing with computers but from what I've searched. You could try disabling fast boot from the BIOS. Hopefully that may help
