Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

Is this my Favorite one?!? 😲

I'm sad it's over... but we will still have more to come! πŸ’•

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

Comments

I've been having so much fun binging your reactions to harry potter! you should totally check out the 20th anniversary special thing they did, it was really cool!

Taylor

I cried so much over all the deaths in this one. I hated they killed off Fred, Tonks and Remus. But at least Hagrid and the Weasleys lived.

Rhonda Stewart

Your reaction to Dumbledore's brother is hilarious.

Rhonda Stewart

Harry doesn't die because he owns all three of the deathly hallows (the stone, invisibility cape, & the elder wand) since he had all three he became the master of death. Meaning he would only die if he so desired which is why Dumbledore told him it was his choice to move on (stay dead) or go back (return to the living). It's not so clear in the movies but made clear in the books. Glad you enjoyed the series.

Just to further clarify - in the confusing part where Snape says "he thinks the boy is hers" - he's referring to the fact that Voldemort believed Harry to be the child mentioned in the prophecy, so, the long sentence would be "He thinks the boy that the prophecy talks about is Lily's son, which means that he's going to kill him and probably his parents (ie: Lily) too" - Snape was trying to keep Lily safe. He wasn't referring to any secret parentage. Harry is definitely Lily and James's kid. (Though if you want to read fanfic to the contrary, there's plenty out there!) No one has answered this question yet - but the reason Harry destroys the elder wand is because it's other nickname is "the deathstick" - basically everyone who owns it is eventually killed by someone seeking to have that much power. Harry was keeping them all safe by destroying it. If anyone found out that he had it, it'd basically be a whole bunch of power hungry people coming after him - and he's already had that happen once, so would like to avoid it. Likewise, the Resurrection stone only brings back sad ghosts - it can't actually resurrect anyone, so ultimately it just means the ghost of your loved one is trapped with you and can't move on to the afterlife and you just basically stay grieving about them forever. It's unclear why Harry doesn't die by the killing curse (someone can correct me if there's more info out there) - but it's just assumed (as far as I know) that because Harry was willing to die for everyone he loved, he basically created a sort of magic like his mother created when she died for him... and the spell only killed the Horcrux not Harry. The cool thing about the Harry Potter series is that it ages with the main characters - so the first book is for 11 year olds and the last book is for 17 year-olds... so hence the different ratings. I think it's really neat. I just wish JKR wasn't such a dick. I think people sob more in the movies when they've read the books - because they're both more emotionally connected to the characters and also there's less ambiguity about what's going on. But I say that as someone who doesn't cry at the movies, and I don't think I cried in the books either. This was super fun! I'm glad you enjoyed the movies!!

Say What Reacts (Anitra)

It was alot of fun watching this with you! I had seen most of the movies but didn't remember everything and then these last two movies were new to me so it's nice to finally know how it ends. I'm excited for the kdrama cause kdramas are what I most watch but I look forward to your other movies and stuff too! It's funny how sometimes when I'm watching a new show now (usually kdrama) there will be times where I think "I wonder how Anitra would react/what she would think about this?" lol

Yes, please react to the 20th-anniversary reunion by HBOMax. It's amazing. Just to clarify, the resurrection stone doesn't bring people back to life. It just shows you their ghost.

Britney Lee

I don't think anyone answered this so just wanted to clarify when Narcissa (Draco's mom) checks to see if Harry is dead or not in the forest she is asking Harry if Draco is still alive in Hogwarts because she knows that Harry is in fact still alive just got to the part where you figured it out πŸ˜‚ and here I thought I was being super helpful lol (also yes please react to the reunion thing! it's the 20th anniversary one)

Kaila

I enjoyed this reaction and the movie very much. I can't wait for your other random movies reacties and movie series. Also can't wait for your kdrama reactions. I wonder which one you watched.

Oummie

from what i remember reading, j.k.Rowling had snapes story in the bag from day 1 and told ONLY alan rickman what SNAPE'S story was so he could play his ultimate part. everyone else learned their parts as the series unfolded. snape was the ultimate harry potter character to me. next is the story of neville longbottom who is the other child born at the end of july the prophecy could have been talking about, who ironically was the boy who actually took final blow to voldamort by killing snake, "the prophecy talks about a boy being born at the end of july(that will end up killing the dark lord)......" yes but he(voldy)thinks its her(lily) son". theories speak of it being actually neville.

I had so much fun rewatching the whole HP series with you, thank you for your reaction!😍 β€˜After all this time? Always’ This part will always make me cry 🀧

Carmen Terry

Some of your theories were making me laugh πŸ˜‚ but it's ok you got the answer few minutes later. Some of my favorite scenes will always be molly killing Bellatrix and the reveal of Snape memories. He loved Lilly so much that he was willing to protect her son as much as he was able too. ALWAYS !

Joy

This is the part that made you confused. The prophecy : The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies... It could have referred to either Harry Potter or Neville Longbottom. Both boys were born at the end of July 1980 (Harry on the 31st, Neville on the 30th) and both sets of parents had escaped Voldemort three times. Voldemort chose to believe that Harry was the one meant and targeted him to eliminate the threat; in doing so he unknowingly actually set the prophecy in motion by "marking him as his equal" (as he had not heard the second part, he did not know of this danger)

I love that tissue box
