Chatty Feedback Post #1
Added 2015-06-10 23:32:12 +0000 UTCHello, dear patrons. I was wondering today, how do you like previewing sketches of everything going on? While I know it might be cool to keep in touch and see updates more often, I also imagine some people might feel it could be spoiling the impact of the fully colored pieces once finished. Considering it could also be burning the surprise beforehand, for pieces that come with sequential versions or alternatives... Hm. This is aside from the sketched ideas I'd let you vote on, to pick priorities and themes. I'm wondering in general, for all other pieces of personal projects and OCs, when either way the base sketches for most things will be provided as part of the monthly packs. So the question is about seeing full WIPs of major pieces beforehand; or having them after the final art is revealed, thinking them as a bonus or study material. : ) I'd love to hear everyone's preference on this, to get a general idea of how would you usually like it. PS. Today I'm working in a curvy OC of mine. ; >

2015-06-12 12:54:57 +0000 UTCYou could have it both ways, title the updates with whether they contain a WIP and people can avoid that post if they just want to see the finished product, and maybe go back later if they're interested

2015-06-11 08:11:17 +0000 UTCI see the side of having the surprise spoiled but I prefer seeing the sketches and WIP as well. I like the idea of maybe only teasing part of it at first. Maybe the full sketches can be put up after the full work so those who want to see the process can see? If it's either/or I say post the WIP. :)

2015-06-11 01:55:14 +0000 UTCI've wondered this too, but most of the members on my website like seeing updates regardless if it's a sketch or not. I'd recommend to continue posting them as they come, it gives people something to do and look at while they wait for the full thing. Just my 2c :)

2015-06-11 00:23:23 +0000 UTCYeah, is personal preference ofc. And, overall, I won't stick always to the same pattern. I just wanna get an idea of the general preferences here, so I don't sway too far from what you guys expect. :3

2015-06-11 00:06:00 +0000 UTCI'm fine with WIP during the process. Seeing the illustration getting completed step by step may reduce the surprise of the discovery at the end, but it's like having few moderate impacts instead of an only big one. It depends of the people I guess.

2015-06-10 23:57:22 +0000 UTCWIPs are my favorite part of any given artist's work! Especially an artist like you that ends up with such a clean style by the end @ v @

2015-06-10 23:48:52 +0000 UTCI don't mind seeing WIP prior to the finished work. I like seeing the process as it goes along. As a mega tease perhaps you could crop the image, tease a snippet of what your working on. Let us wonder, and imagine. That way you can still get the impact of a fantastic finished piece, and get to post wip's along the way too.
