Public Christmas VR Feature

Is there a tutorial on how to get this to work with index?

anyone experiencing weird warping issues when moving in vr on WMR headset (I have the reverb g2) -- i have no proble on my quest 2 though

It works, I executed the Oculus app on PC then added the library to this file. After that, I could see VR mode in oculus quest2. However same method, the current 2022 version does not work. Officially does not support yet?

I downloaded VRPublicBuild_Mirro1 then I could see execute file name as "vrtemplate" then connected headset through visual desktop with steam vr. However I couldn't do anything. What do I do?

Diese version ja, das war ein kleiner VR test der wenig mit dem spiel zu tun hatte. Die neueren versionen lassen sich zwar in der vr brille anschauen aber controller supoort gibt es noch kiens.

If you have one you can try it out by going ingame and pressing Alt+0 (zero) while the HMD is connected and ready.

No need for that :D The game has a simple vr video support. If you have an HMD plugged in you can press Alt+V while ingame and it will switch output form your regular monitor to stereo vr. Currently only video output is supported so control still goes via Mouse+Keyboard which can make UI navigation a bit troublesome, but we will work on improving that as well.

Still seems a bit odd to make a build that will likely only benefit a small minority of your supporters though, don't you think? Still leaves a bit of a bad taste in the mouth.

Definitely not my man. We saw it as more of a gimmick ourselves. I just wanted to try it out, and the stuff we made felt like it could be well enjoyed by the other folks with VR. The actual game itself wont focus on vr at all, instead we still want to put our full focus on cool catchy stories, nice engaging gameplay, sexy characters, action loaded combat and beautiful landscapes.

Honestly, VR is a gimmick, most people I know who bought one, use it a few times and never use it again. I hope you don't prioritise VR as a big feature of the game.

Well, they said earlier that the next wild life build will be in January, the VR Build was out of good will for christmas, so stop complaining. I dont have a vr myself but still a nice gesture!

Ill copy my reply from an other comment: We are going to talk to the team to see what we can do about it. Thing is that these vr builds are rather simplistic when it comes to content and very specific to vr when it comes to features, so making the same thing for non-vr wouldnt make much sense at all. Thats why we are figuring out what else we could do to please you non-vr folks. I know its really shit for you :frowning: And we apologize for that.
