Mini-Demo | Beyond Yes or No: Analyzing Our Dialog System

Hey there! We've got some news on the progress of Militsioner. We've been working on a dialog system that will bring more depth to the game. We've put together a mini-demo that offers a glimpse into what the system will entail, and we're eager for you to try it out.

We've designed it to allow you to speak freely and express yourself in any way you like. And don't worry, you can talk to them at any moment, interrupt them, choose nonsense options, or just leave. We know that there's a lot of work left to do, and we're eager to keep improving the system.

We want to stress that this is a work in progress, and there are many known issues that we're still working on. The demo is full of bugs, and the overall experience is quite rough. Some of the known issues include:

• UI visual bugs, as the UI is currently in the reworking stage
• The ability to talk to NPCs while sitting on the bench
• Light flickering on low and medium settings of "Global Illumination"
• Rough transitions when changing from day to night
• Ticket gate open button may have a small area of activation
• Fall damage is currently not working
• "Militsioner" character's positioning may not be correct and may be cause of dialog issues
• Default brightness value in the main menu is set at 50
• The "Bugs" and "Polls" buttons in the main menu are currently empty
• There's not a “Reset” button in settings menu

We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the demo, especially on how you interact with the dialogs. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we're constantly working to improve our game. If you have any suggestions, comments, or ideas, please don't hesitate to share them with us!

It's also worth noting that we plan to make these mini-demos open to the public after a few weeks. We're doing this because we want to receive as much feedback as possible, and making the demos Patreon exclusive for a limited time period seems like the best way to achieve this. To get started:

1. Type the command /claim pool militsioner-playtest in #keys discord channel
2. Activate your key in Steam: Add game -> Activate product on Steam and then follow the activation steps
3. The app will then appear in your Steam library
