Predator Short sword

A short sword inspired by the Yautja culture, blending their iconic aesthetics with subtle nods to samurai tradition. While working on this, I envisioned the sword as something a Predator warrior would have brought with them to Earth—something functional, symbolic, and steeped in their alien craftsmanship.
Rather than leaning heavily into human samurai designs, I focused on enhancing the Yautja's brutal yet ceremonial style. The result is a blade that feels rugged and practical, with intricate detailing that speaks to the warrior’s honor and legacy.
As an additional feature, I designed a pendant/charm that can be attached to the sword’s hilt or worn separately as a necklace. This serves as a personal touch to the weapon—symbolizing the warrior’s clan, victories, or a rite of passage. The charm comes in two variants:
Single-Sided: Ideal for filament 3D printing, optimized for easy printing and minimal post-processing.
Double-Sided: Perfect for resin printers, offering enhanced detail and a more polished finish.
To make it easier to print , as always, it comes as:
STL files: Standard for 3D printing.
3MF files: For those who prefer a more versatile format.
Presliced Models: Ready-to-print files, fully combined and optimized for smaller-scale printing with rod cutout for structural strength

2025-01-26 18:58:33 +0000 UTCThe short sword is very, very good, and with a steel dowel the weight is perfect! I have printed the sword on 0.08mm, and I already made a colored slize. This is gonna eat a lot of fillament for flushing, but I will start this one next when SM-33 is done :-) total printing time for the sword will be: 5 days and a little :-) Is it possible to post any pictures of the makes I have done?

2025-01-26 18:43:57 +0000 UTCJust finished. Came out amazing. Don't think it's even gonna need sanding except for the part joints. I did also note that the panels on the grip print as separate pieces and not as a design in the grip. Printed from the 3mf.
