The emcee begins,

"Actually, we've kept this a secret from Mai-san, but today we'd like her to challenge a different escape magic trick."

Although the emcee said it was a secret, Mai and the staff had actually discussed it beforehand.

For the sake of the TV production, Mai put on a slightly surprised face as if she were hearing it for the first time, and asked,

"Eh? Is that so? What kind of escape magic should I try?"

"Last time it was an escape from underwater, but this time we want you to try an escape from the sky."

"Oh my, from the sky?"

Mai feigned surprise.

The emcee pointed to a hot air balloon and said,

"That's right. Actually, you'll be riding that hot air balloon over there, which has been on standby for a while now. Shall we take a closer look?"

The two walked towards the hot air balloon.

Mai looked up at the hot air balloon, which was gradually getting bigger, and said,

"Oh my, what a beautiful balloon."

"Do you like it? By the way, Mai-san, are you okay with heights?"

"I see. That's good. Mai-san, you'll be riding the hot air balloon handcuffed, just like last time."

Mai answered with a smile.

司会者が切り出す

「実は舞さんにも秘密にしているたのですが、本日は別の脱出マジックにチャレンジして頂きたいと思っているんですよ。」

秘密にしていると司会者は言ったが、本当は事前に舞とスタッフは打ち合わせをおこなっている。

テレビの演出上、舞は始めて聞いたような少し驚いた顔しながら

「え？そんなんですか。どんな脱出マジックに挑戦すれば良いのかしら」と尋ねた。

「前回は水中からの脱出でしたが、今度は大空からの脱出に挑んで頂きたいのですよ。」

「まぁ、空から？」

舞はさも驚いたような顔をしてみせた。

司会者は熱気球を指差しながら

「そうです。実は先程からあちらでスタンバイしているあの熱気球に乗って頂きます。それでは早速近くで見て頂きましょうか」

２人は熱気球の方へ歩いて行った。

舞は段々大きく見えてきた熱気球を見上げながら

「まぁ、なんて綺麗な気球ですこと」

「お気に召して頂けましたか？所で、舞さん高い所は大丈夫ですか？」

「もちろん、大丈夫です。私高いところは大好きですのよ」

「そうなんですね。それは良かった。舞さんは前回と同様に手錠をした状態で熱気球に乗って頂きます。」

「なるほど、今回は気球からの脱出なのですね」

「はい。手錠を解除したら熱気球を操作し地上に降りて来て頂きます。」

「成程。でも熱気球は風で結構揺れるのかしら？飛行機には結構乗りなれてはいますけど」

「そう言えば舞さんはご趣味が海外旅行だとか」

「ええ。じつは此の後、ハワイへ旅行に行きますの。ですから飛行機の揺れとかには結構慣れているんですのよ。」

舞は笑顔で答えた。
