The tension in the audience was reaching its peak.

How much longer could she hold her breath? She hadn't unlocked all the locks yet.

10 seconds... 20 seconds... 30 seconds passed...

One by one, the chains that prevented her from standing up in the tank were being removed.

Even so, she calmly found the chains that were hindering her and unlocked each of the locks connecting them.

The clock hand passed the 2-minute mark. Her expression was starting to look a little strained.

More time passed, and the clock hand went past 3 minutes.

It seemed she was nearing her limit for holding her breath, but she still couldn't rise to the surface.

The water level was far above her head, and soon the entire tank would be submerged.

If it were completely submerged, even if she managed to stand up afterward, there would be no air inside the tank.

If that happened, Mai's escape magic would be a failure.

"Hang in there!! Just a little more!!"

"Mai-chan, please come up quickly!"

Cheers for Mai erupted from the audience.

Mai desperately clung to consciousness, exerting her last bit of strength.

A few small bubbles escaped from her mouth.

It seemed as if they were hinting that she was approaching death.

But even at this point, the staff didn't move.

What were they thinking, even though there was no time left? Or was it because they had absolute confidence in her magic?

But Mai was about to reach the 4-minute mark of holding her breath.

会場内の観客たちの緊張感もマックスに達しようとしていた。

彼女は後何分息を止めていられるのだろう。まだ鍵は全部解除出来ていないのだ。

10秒・20秒・30秒と時間が過ぎて行く・・・

彼女が水槽の中で立ち上がろうとするのを邪魔する鎖が１本又１本と外されてゆく。

それでも彼女は冷静に、邪魔をいている鎖を見つけると、その鎖を繋いでいる鍵を見つけて１つ１つ鍵を解除していった。

時計の針が２分を回った。彼女の表情が少し険しくなってきていた。

さらに時間が過ぎ時計の針が３分を過ぎた。

既に彼女も呼吸を止めるのに限界が近づいているようだったが、彼女はまだ浮き上がれないでいた。

水面は彼女の頭のはるか上部に達しまもなく水槽全体が水没してしまいそうだった。

もし完全に水没してしまえば例えこの後立ち上がることが出来たとしても水槽内部に空気は無いだろう。

そうなればもう舞の脱出マジックは失敗となってしまうだろう。

「頑張れ！！あともう少しだ！！」

「舞ちゃん、お願いだから早く上がって来て」

観客たちから舞への声援が飛び交う。

舞は必死に意識を繋ぎ止めながら最後の力を振っていた。

彼女の口から小さなあぶくが何個か吐き出された。

それはまるで彼女が死に向かって近付いていることを暗示しているかのように思えた。

だが此処に至ってもスタッフ達に動きは無い。

もう残り時間が無いと言うのに彼らは一体何を考えているのだろうか？それとも彼女のマジックに絶対の自信を持っているからこそなのであろうか。

だが舞が呼吸を止めて間もなく４分が近づこうとしてた。
