2021-11-01 20:35:07 +0000 UTCSome video game series release with a shotgun blast, releasing several games within a finite time and then completely disappear in terms of console releases. When I think about what series that released several titles within a short time frame, Wild Arms and Grandia come to mind of series with both releasing 4 to 6 entries in roughly a 10 year span. I would love to see these titles come back to consoles. What is a series that had several releases in a short time that you would love to see make a return to consoles?

2021-11-01 20:20:24 +0000 UTCThe internet’s most recent debate over game length thanks to Metroid Dread made me realize that as I’ve gotten older and with expanded hobbies and responsibilities, I’ve begun to appreciate shorter games more and more, but I still feel like there’s a sweet between the price and the amount of time spent in it. I have begun to really dislike 100+ hour RPGs that feel padded, despite ”length of playtime” being my old metric for buying games when I was in my late teens/early 20s. So that leads me to ask: What is your golden “dollar per hour” range and has it shifted over time? If so, what caused the change?
