Re-edit of Tony Hawk Ride!

Hi all,

It's been a rough couple of weeks at the Stop Skeletons clubhouse. I've been pretty sick with a bad cold for the last month that's meant I've spent most of my time delirious and  sleeping while poor Derek's had to pick up a lot of my slack while I heal. (it's not covid, I got tested and am negative. yay!) But things have gone a little lopsided as a result and we're running a bit behind on videos. Derek's been an absolute legend though, really appreciate him working so hard while I've been out of commission. 🥺 We are about to shoot the Resident Evil Mobile video soon, hopefully on Friday. Our collabo-writer Cass has done some great work nailing down some details that I don't think have been officially reported anywere– so I'm excited for y'all to finally see it! 

But that doesn't really have anything to do with this post and good ol' Tony Hawk Ride. We had planned to have this video go up on YouTube at the beginning of September with a sponsorship on it, but the company we've been working with had a person go on maternity leave. So while we've been waiting for the ok from the advertiser, we decided to go back and tinker with the video in the meantime. I'm hoping we'll get the ok to upload it to youtube some time tomorrow, but I thought some of you guys might enjoy watching what it's ended up being. Here's a list of changes off the top of my head:

• 1. green screen shots of Derek Skateboarding have a better chromakey and look a lot nicer
• 2. the Caddicarus cameo got cut (it made us laugh but after thinking about it, the bit was a bit confusing. we replaced it with something different that still references his skateboarding video from last year)
• 3. the Tony Hawk quote (voiced by minimme) at the beginning of the video is presented differently so the ellipses are properly noted. I heavily shortened the quote for clarity while I was writing but that didn't get translated into the original video 
• 4. Derek changed some of the music and added sound effects
• 5. fixed a couple editing mistakes that we didn't catch the first time. some timings were changed. I think the video is several seconds shorter!
• 6. and a few other things that I was half asleep for and don't quite remember 🧐 

As always, let us know if you see any mistakes! Also, I whipped up a thumbnail yesterday that looks half decent but I'm not 100% confident on, so if you guys have any feedback I'd appreciate it!
