I loved this so much please Jackal is such a cute rogue! Vidia already mentioned the characterization stuff which I ADORED! I will say though Jackals own dreams and wish for a simple domestic life definitely pulled at my heart strings knowing full well when he first met his sweet mage he would never have even entertained the idea of such a life given his restless ways and how boring he’d have found. But now with the right person——, and I fear— not enough time—, it’s more than an entertaining thought. And then with the mention of their beginnings and the ways he used to tease mage. This was so lovely and cozy and comforting and just what I needed tonight. But some part of me can’t help but think down the line I’m going to listen to this audio again, as a sad sort of sweet memory of happier times as this story progresses. 😔💚
