ZEEBO IS A GO!!! (and other updates)

We had a big month with all the N-Gage stuff, so what's next? Stopping? Slowing down? NOPE! Because SSFF never stops!

First things first, podcast recording next Monday! June 21st be in the podcast chat discord at 4PM PT! If you can't make if leave questions or comments below or to stopskeletons@gmail.com. I'll post another reminder Monday morning.

Next up, welcome new supporters! It's amazing that we've been running this patreon for SIX years and we continue to grow! So glad to have you aboard!

We have cleared our 1100 supporters goal and as promised, the Zeebo content is forthcoming! This entire ordeal was complicated by the fact that the Zeebo was a digital only-system. So playing the actual games means searching far and wide for a system (or multiple systems) with all the games we want already installed. Not the easiest task, but we were ready to start tossing around some coin in the name of fascinating and dumb video games and we had a bunch of Brazilian friends willing to help! ...but then an opportunity fell into our lap.

A fan and supporter happened to have a Zeebo that was fully stocked with all the games we wanted to cover. And they were willing to let us borrow it! So we are all set for our deep-dive Zeebo adventure! However, because we're borrowing someone else's Zeebo instead of buying one of our own, the Zeebo video will still get Patreon early access but it will not be charged. We are so incredibly thankful to all our supporters, especially our new one's that helped push us over the finish line, but it wouldn't be right to charge for this video.

Also doesn't expect the Zeebo content to start coming so soon. I'm gonna take my time with it! Sink my teeth in! I pride myself on high quality dumb, and high quality dumb isn't built in a day!

In forthcoming video news, the next batch of videos are already well-along. First up, the Pokemon Mini! The smallest cartridge-based console Nintendo ever produced! It's a shockingly robust little system that I can't wait to tell you all about! Grace was working on this project all last month while I was editing the N-Gage video. It's currently being edited, expect that by the end of June.

The other June video will be a follow-up to the Silent Hill 2 Historical Society Breakdown video - Resident Evil 8 House Beneviento Breakdown. The Historical Society video has become a sleeper fan-favorite, but I was struggled hard to think of a proper follow-up. After so long, I didn't think I'd ever find one... that is until RE 8 came out! The House Beneviento section was so brilliant and scary, I think it's one of the best moments in the entire series. And I'll be doing a long playthru, breaking down all the incredibly clever and sublet things it does! I've got pages of notes and I'll be shooting my playthru after finish writing this.

For July, it's time to return to Resident Evil 4, but for the one that got away - the mobile port! Since last October, we've received donations from fans and I very happy to announce we now have access to the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, AND Zeebo versions of the long-since delisted Resident Evil 4 Mobile! This might be the first youtube video to be able to compare all these different version. I can't imagine there's that many difference between them, BUT IMA FIND OUT!

So that's what's in the future (plus RE8 which I forgot to put in the picture ๐Ÿ˜†). We also will revisit the N-Gage, but at a later date. We need a break from the Taco Phone for a little bit. But when it's time to return, we'll probably have a poll to see what N-Gage content you'd like to see next! But again, that'll be in a little bit.

That's it for now! Any questions for the podcast or the future videos feel free to drop em below. Thanks again for the support, we'll see you again real soon!

I have fond memories of playing RE4 mobile on my iPod Touch back in the day so this upcoming video of yours is really tickling my nostalgia bone. Keep it up you and Grace are the best.

Andrew Acrolix

I hope you cover the homebrew scene in the video!

Bea

Since the Zeebo was easier for you to obtain, will the next Patreon stretch goal be relatively quicker to reach? And have your decided what the next stretch goal will be?

Chevmatic

We plan to be really thorough! So yes we will breakdown the controller and outer shell etc!

Stop Skeletons From Fighting

I second this I've never looked into the Zeebo in specific anticipation for this!

you guys are the best creators ๐Ÿ™Œ keep it coming with dumb, i can't get enough

sad boi sundays

When you do the Zeebo, can you spend some time on the system itself? Like the inputs, controller, and weird ports, and the system menu?

Gregory Walsh

You mean the ability to flip pieces with a shake? I mean it's hard to beat Tetris but looking at the whole library, there's not really a bad one in the bunch! The mini game collections are all pretty simple but the nuance and timing required is incredible! EDIT from Grace: Cubone Attack on Pichu Party is a highlight, but Pokemon Race Mini and Togepi's Great Adventure are my favorite official games. BUT my favorite overall game is probably Pokemon Psychic Seeds, which is a homebrew title.

Which do you think are the best Pokemon Mini games? Pokemon Tetris is one of the highlights, because...you already know lmao
