I finally got COVID proper - and a week into it I'm still down for the count but slightly further away from deaths door!
I have huge plans regardless, and I'm excited to say that myself and gee are going to be returning to our movie podcast YOMP, albeit without our gorgeous lovely Simon just yet.
Hopefully I'll have some exciting things to be posting here soon like when I can smell and taste again ...
So I literally just got finished with this and since it's friday 13th I thought....I'd whack it up as public and see how the analytics do!
It felt good to finish this, already keen to get cracking on the other videos PLUS something nice in the pipes for halloween....hallo...GEEn???

I've been pretty sick! (Cool) But also poorly (that's uncool). It happens, trying to just do what I can day by day.
Yesterday I did capture some footage for the next video, I'm totally wiped out today but all worth it for a throwaway joke lasting SECONDS.
ALSO a lot of you have been asking about the podcast YOMP - Due to personal shit it's been on hiatus, myself and gee are working to get something going again for you all though because we genuinely love...
There's an idea bouncing around in my brain like two angry coked up businessmen are playing squash with it...
But I'm trying to nail down a format. Long and short I want a guest and something to do with media
This also might be branching off itself idk, sorry to be vague but I wouldn't want to hype you all up for me getting something exciting done then realise I'm just too sleepy.
Ideas welcome!

Automatic captioning always has a hard time with my accent which seems to get stronger all the time, so I have to manually check for stupid mistakes. Here are some good ones from this latest video

As always - please correct me of any glaring mistakes! This one took a heck of a long time because I decided to be really ambitious with the editing bits. One thing I love about editing my own videos is coming up with these ideas on the fly and working to put them in, including days of learning and forgetting :o)

Thought you'd like to see all the individual pages I made for each of the featured boos in the video - including Dr Morbius who I was going to include but all I could come up with was "He has a nice house on a very-unoccupied planet but keeps saying "it's morbin' time" during sex". Really though the footage was too poor quality and I couldn't be bothered getting the whole movie for THAT.

I've done the edit for the episode, and I decided "hey, what if I give myself some more work??" For that I'm going to put it on cassette and if all goes well it might be cool to do it for all videos going forward
Since it's romantically themed it's really on brand for a release around valentine's ...
If I upload this here, now, you HAVE to promise to watch it on YouTube as well. for the views. The Blackadder and French & Saunders bits have entirely blocked it on there so I put in fair use disputes! Wish me luck!

I have spent the last...week or so in a complete editing hole to get this done for Halloween, so patrons, I'm sorry you didn't get early access for this one.
But I DO have a lot of bloopers and a part two to do so hopefully you'll forgive me.
Also the other video I have in the works!
This is my first fling into editing and I had a really good time doing it! My bones had a less nice time, I'm flaring up bad from sitting down for such a long time with the other stuff I do, editing ...
Next installment is all filmed now, hopefully all the footage is good to go!

It's been a while, again, I'm the WORST. After tons of health issues and having to take some decent time off to deal with burnout, I'm gradually getting to move forwards with some video ideas!
I have MULTIPLE scripts finished now, and with (hopefully) less doctors appointments to attend I'll be able to use that time to film them. Here's a pic of what I've been up to recently, I'm making a series of pages and it's time consuming but it'll be worth it!

In terms of "increasing engagement" and other algorithm bollocks, short-form media seems to be a decent way of going about it (tiktok, reels, shorts) and at least YouTube are monetising shorts now as well.

Listen, my little brain has been working (slowly) on snippets of little content to slide in and work that algorithm to my advantage
I would LOVE for you guys to suggest some films for me, all will become clearer soon, still involves some work which is awfully disappointing.
I like doing content where it just happens. I like the stuff where I don't have to work. Where a robot throws grapes at me while I lay entangled in a shower curtain.

Since this Halloween video was filmed in two parts I did another lil vlog I'll be uploading shortly!
I got to film this in bed and it wasn't super comfy because I had to sit upright and that's close to impossible! Brenda and Candice both made fleeting appearances though so I'll see if that footage was good enough to make the final cut!
