NEW VIDEO Bad Games That I Love! [SSFF]

Hello supporters!

One of my favorite topics is bad games. I've always had a soft spot for them. And a genuine love for, well... most of them. The concept of a "bad game" is an interesting one because I think there are irrefutable ways to evaluate a game as "bad" but still find it enjoyable. Case-and-point, the handful of games mentioned in this video!

This video could've been several hours long, trust me (we straight-up cut 2 games out of the edit)! So I want to hear your favorite games that you know are bad but you love anyway!

You wont be charged for this video, however it's going public Tuesday morning so you're not getting that much exclusivity. We've got one more video coming down the pike for this month and that will be Patreon funded because it features a bunch of stuff we purchased with Patreon funding! So stay tuned for Secrets of the DS GBA Slot later this week!

Thanks

I am ashamed of it but I really enjoy Eggs of Steel on the ps1 I had when I was a kid but I played it recently expecting to realize how terrible it was but sadly I still liked it

My money goes to the Suda 51 classic, Lollipop Chainsaw. The movement was janky, the combat was borderline broken with the inability to attack cancel and a dull as dishwater upgrade path for combos, the "content" was questionable with possibly the lewdest achievement in a game ever (Juliet Starling upskirt anyone?) and was super short with no inherent replay value. But when I played it I smiled from ear to ear (when the wife was away of course). The way it felt like a punk rock magnum opus with its ethos (even featuring The Runaways - Cherry Bomb on the soundtrack). An absolutely fantastic bad game!

I remember playing Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle on Gameboy and loving it when I was a kid. Then years later I saw AVGN's video about it... never occurred to me that it was bad. And of course, Earth Defense Force games. "Have a taste of my... BULLETS!"

Not entirely sure how "bad" it is but Kororinpa on the wii just strikes a chord with me. I love the art and it can be fun, but the motion controls are just *bad*.

We’ve definitely thought about it! There were a surprising number of them!

Wow I haven’t thought of Chaos Legion in ages! But that sounds like a “winner” for sure!

What you should’ve done is made one of your friends sit down and play coop on Blood on the Sand! I don’t know if the other 50 Cent game has coop but BotS is a lot of fun with another player.

I haven’t but doesn’t that one have a wild sci-fi story too?

I never played the rally game but I have a soft spot for the original South Park game on N64. Not a great fps, but overall better than it should’ve been. And I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Star Wars Demolition, I’ll have to check it out!

Of you like bad Gears of War games, have you tried Quantum Theory? 😁

You hooked me up with Earth Defense Force ❤️ It's so bad that I love it :)

South Park Rally I enjoyed it a lot as a kid despite it not being a good game. The controls were fine and I had fun despite some somewhat unreasonable difficulty spikes like some of the enemies in events or the conditions to unlock certain characters. I owned the N64 version so I was bummed to find out later that the PS1, DC and PC versions had more characters. Star Wars: Demolition This one I never understood why it received so much hate. The biggest criticism from gamers was that it was a Vigilante 8 clone with a Star Wars skin which I never thought to be a problem. People also said it had bad controls which I never noticed. It has one of the best Star Wars soundtracks in my opinion which encouraged me to keep playing and with how since the prequels much of Star Wars is oversaturated with Clones, it feels a bit refreshing playing a Star Wars title with no mention of Clones.

The 50 cent games were some of my favorites and my friends never truly understood. Objectively they weren't great, but they were dumb fun and I got to play as 50 cent lmao it was awesome.

Chaos Legion! It was a PS2 era hack n slash with the corniest story ever and real grinding gameplay, topped off with terrible draw distance, and very little variance in environment. It also had a really janky PC port. I love it dearly.
