A Brief History of the Day 1 Patch | Past Mortem | [SSFF]
Added 2018-07-01 01:20:22 +0000 UTCHi guys!
This is my first video since I got all in on production again! It's an experiment in a lot of ways; the structure of it is a bit unusual and we're planning on waiting until about July 24nd-ish to release it (to coincide with No Man's Sky's Xbox 1 release). So super duper hot exclusive!
Derek and I are mostly console gamers, so the idea of downloading/installing a patch has been a stick in my craw for the past couple of years. I needed to know why starting up a game on my PS4 is an hour long event. In researching this video I totally turned myself around on the idea of downloadable patches, and found out that the idea of a game being "set in stone" has never really been a thing.
Please let us know what you think about the video! Also, we got a Doom Ports 2 Punching Weight coming in later today.
Thanks for your support,
Grace Kramer

By the way, DidYouKnowGaming recently did a video about Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby having a berry glitch and the inventive methods they used to try and apply a 'pre-wifi patch' fix to the affected games, so if you guys ever do a followup video (as SSFF does from time to time), it's a tidbit that might be of some use.
