Our Favorite Indie Games From PAX West '17 [SSFF]

Hello supporters!

October is almost upon us, which means our Halloween videos are just around the corner. But we have some other things to take care of first, like our expedition at PAX earlier this month! We played some awesome indie games and got interviews with the devs!

These video are always an extra challenge for us because they're a little outside of our wheelhouse. We wish we could have more content like this on the channel but the pre-produced stuff is our bread and butter. Still it's fun to switch up the style every so often!

In this video we interviewed

• Jon Perry and Paul Hubans of UFO 50
• Jason Canam of Way of the Passive Fist
• Aurelien Regard of AWAY: Journey to the Unexpected
• Megan Fox of Spartan Fist
• Arden Ripley of Date or Die
• Andy Hull of Dunk Lords

We mentioned these games in our Media Consumption Blog a few weeks ago but our video will give you more insight. We also talked about the Secret of Mana remake for PS4 at the end! It's looked pretty slick, I'd say it looks like it's gonna be a really great port!

Up next, Derek is prepping a review for Dusk, a great 90's throwback FPS and a neat little start into the Halloween season. Expect that video in a few days!

Thanks as always for the support!

Dusk looks so good! Really excited to get my hands on that whenever it comes out.

Such an incredible video! Thank you so much for covering my brother's game "Way of the Passive Fist". He's very passionate about it and I've been on the sidelines helping out here and there and it's such a cool game. Regarding your comment about it being maybe a bit too slow; the game has a very solid difficulty curve that starts off relatively slow to ease the player in as to not intimidate or overwhelm players right out of the gate. I think he kept it simple for PAX in order to get the basics out there. The game actually has an extremely extensive difficulty customization where you can change everything from the enemy speed, strength all the way to the max amount of enemies on screen and how often they attack. Basically this allows players to fully customize their experience. Trust me, the game can get REALLY fast and ballistic toward the end. Anyway, thanks again Derek and Grace, you're the best :D
