Vote: What Should Be Next For Stop Skeletons Live?

Over at the Stop Skeletons Live channel we have wrapped up Illbleed! We chose Illbleed for numerous reasons, for one I just *really* wanted to play it again. More importantly though, playing the same game week after week reduced the number of things that could go wrong and allowed us to lock down our streaming set up. Plus I'd never really done a multi-episode play through stream before, so that was a fun experience.

Now it's on to the next one! But what to do? How about we take it to the people!!

I was originally excited about the idea of continuing on with spooky, Halloween games but I'm not so sure any more. And I while I've enjoyed doing a full play through, I also enjoy variety. Lastly, we don't have to stick with retro stuff, I've got plenty of modern-ish games!

Please answer the following survey questions.

SURVEY

1. Should we stick with Halloween-themed games?

  a) keep them spooks a-coming!

2. Would you next like to see,

  a) another multi-part, full play-through of a long game?

  b) one stream, one game (without intent of completing it)?

  c) a shotgun-style steam featuring a quick look of multiple games?

3. Which era would you like to like most to see next

  a) 8-bit / 16-bit (NES, Gen, GB, SNES)

  b) 32 bit / 64-bit (PS1, N64)

Comments

1.) I'm down for spooks but specifically the spooks in Uninvited! Really my answer is probably (b), if only because I like the idea of having some horror-ish reviews for Halloween next year. 2.) I like the idea of all three of these but I'd lean towards C, reminds me of being at a friend's house and playing a whole bunch of games outta said friend's collection. 3.) Another request for the Kemco-Seika NES game trifecta of Shadowgate, Déjà Vu, and Uninvited! But anything out of the 8-bit/16-bit era is solid too.

1. a 2. a or b, it really depends more on the game and whether it's worth finishing. 3. I would like to see Manhunt or The Suffering. Any other PS2 horror game would be great too. I feel like that system has some of the best horror games out there, especially when you consider Silent Hill 2.

Noah Sutherly

1. I'll go with B since you want to give a bit more variety in your gaming. 2. I prefer A that way we can see the entire experience of a game from beginning to end and your opinions on it. 3. It doesn't really matter. Either one of those are fine by me.

You should do Enemy Zero next

I'm gonna be that guy and write in my vote: I think it all depends on the game really. There are a lot of games that work with the shotgun style approach. NES/GB/SNES are really good for pick up, play 10 minutes to see what the game is all about, then move on. Whereas beyond that, PS1 and beyond has more games that are better for longer/full playthroughs because the gameplay usually changes beyond the first hour. Obviously, exceptions, but still. However, I love your spooky vids, so I would always be up to see more of them. I would be up for some Splatterhouse if you have it.

If your sticking to Halloween themed games, then I suggest Alone In the Dark The New Nightmare for the Dreamcast. If you have your Saturn,I'd suggest Enemy Zero as well. But one I've personally been interested in seeing you stream is Shenmue for Dreamcast. Also, unrelated to the question, just adding my two cents, you should definitely stream Rygar Or gargoyles quest 2 for Nes.

1.)No more spooky games unless they are weird hidden gem horror games 2.) full stream 3.)PS1-PS2 Era

I'd like to see some more shotgun streams; maybe covering more anachronistic games like the GBA shooters video.
