Another quick thing; while working on Jumping Flash I had an idea for a video I don't normally do. Something like "Please Remaster These, If You're Just Going To Remaster Everything". I touched on this in the review but when I heard they were going to remaster God of War 3, the Arkham games, Gears of War I thought, ok I can play ball, you're not going to remake games that really deserve it, just really popular ones. So why haven't we see remakes of certain games then? -Demon's Souls (maybe sony wanted to finish Bloodborne first) -Non GTA Rockstar Game; Manhunt, Bully, Smugglers Run -Parappa The Rapper / Um Jammer Lammy (with rhythm games coming back and all) -Onimusha (why just love for DMC?) -Final Fantasy 6 (FF7 is "too big" and you've remake FF4 enough) But I can't really think of many more without falling into long-shot fantasies about Timesplitters, Jumping Flash, Bushido Blade, Illbleed and so on. And that isn't quite enough for a full video. What do you all think, good idea for a video? Can you think of any other already popular games that should be remade?

That would be a great idea for a video! I personally think of games from the fifth generation (N64, PS1, Saturn) could truly benefit from a remake. There were so many games that could have been halfway decent if 3D graphics weren't so new and daunting to developers at the time. The N64 Castlevania games come to mind in this regard; with modern analog sticks and a smooth frame rate, those games probably would be somewhat enjoyable. Other random (popular) remake ideas: -Link's Awakening (Yes, again <3) -Crackdown -Super Mario RPG -The Dark Forces/Jedi Knight Series -Elder Scrolls: Morrowind/Oblivion (an OFFICIAL remake!) Thanks Derek :)

2015-06-03 04:00:05 +0000 UTCRead Rising 1 is a great one except I don't have 360 to play it on or get footage with. I've never actually played any of the Dead Rising games. I'm sure we'll get a Mass Effect trilogy remaster. I'm shocked we haven't seen a Mario Galaxy bundle for WiiU. Mario 64 has been released on VC so I doubt we'll see a remaster. Plus, if I put Nintendo games in the video it'll be flagged and taken down. I've gotten pretty cold on Wayforward, I had this realization that on paper they make games I should care about but in reality I don't actually enjoy playing any of them.

2015-05-16 19:53:30 +0000 UTCI feel that Final Fantasy V has been overlooked a lot, recieving an updated port on GBA but then otherwise left alone (same treatment FFVI had.) but if we're going long shots, Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, Remastered for the 3DS. Or a HD port of Dissidia.

2015-05-16 00:06:18 +0000 UTCDead rising 1 could be a pretty cool remake, The Mass Effect games will most likely receive a re-release and Star Wars KOTOR is unlikeky. There was a fan project for Super Mario 64 HD that got shut down by Nintendo and we can forget about anything Mega Man or Castlevania related (Unless you count the new games on kickstarter). Naughty Dog will keep shoving Uncharted and Last of us down our throats... So, I dunno. I know your feelings toward the Ducktales remaster but given the options I would like to see Wayforward remake Chip and Dale.

2015-05-15 23:40:46 +0000 UTCI got no problem with pixel art but the FF4 remake for DS was pretty good! Square poisoned a lot of goodwill constantly teasing an FF7 remake. Remaking FF6 would maybe bring a lot of people back over to their side.
