The Maou's return (Demon Lord)

It was a little before dawn. Leaf had passed out with Gob still  inside her. He had let her sleep like that. It wasn’t entirely selfless.  This was the last time they would be close like that, at least for a  good while. His hand gently stroked her hair as he looked at her. He did  love her. He wished that she could stay like this. Her belly would have  swollen with his children and she could become part of his harem so he  could enjoy her company all the time. The others would love her too. She  was a lovable person. He knew that by tonight she would be the Maou  once again.

“Hey,” she said as he gently shook her while sliding his cock out of her.

“Huh? Do you want to do it again? Go for it. I’m just going to rest,” she said and she snuggled down.

Gob  chuckled and shook her again. “It’s almost time for the kitchen staff  to arrive and start breakfast. You need to get back to your room.”

Leaf  woke up hearing that. “Yeah, okay,” she said with a hint of sadness.  She got up and gathered her things as Gob pulled on his own clothes and  began removing the furs, throwing them down the wine cellar to deal with  later. “I wish I’d worn panties now. I’m going to be leaving a trail,”  she said as she wrapped the cloak around her.

“You know I can sense arousal. There is a part of you that is looking forward to it,” said Gob.

“You  make me sound like a pervert,” said Leaf but she was smiling. “My legs  are sore. It’s going to be a long walk back,” she complained as she came  up to him.

“Here,” said Gob, pulling open a drawer and unwrapping a couple of pastries. “We never got around to eating these.”

“You kept me far too busy. Did Graff make these?”

“I asked him to save them for us.”

“That  is so sweet. I’m actually famished.” She said and ate the first pastry  quickly with a look of bliss on her face. She then looked at the other  one and Gob handed it to her. The reward of seeing her face light up was  even better than eating Graff’s pastry.

Leaf had crumbs around  her mouth which Gob wiped away. “Thanks,” she said. She looked at him  and the weight of their parting hit her. “I should go. Remember to come  to the Maou’s quarters later. As soon as your shift starts, okay? I want  you to be there.”

“I’ll be there.”

She smiled and gave a  single nod. She reached up and put her hand on his face. “Thank you Gob.  That was the perfect send-off,” she said and walked out of the kitchen.

That  evening Gob knocked on the doors of the Maou’s chamber. A room he  hadn’t been in for weeks. Leaf and Rose were standing talking and there  was an air of formality in the room. Both women turned and smiled at him  as he walked in. Leaf’s tinged with sadness and Rose’s, more genuine  and heartfelt than he had seen her do yet. She was getting good at this  human thing.

“Hi, Gob,” said Leaf. “Shall we get on with it? I don’t want to draw this out longer than we have to.”

Rose  said, “As you wish,” and Gob nodded his agreement. He could already see  some of her more real veil being put up in the way she spoke. It was a  great shame but she would be feeling that more than any of them.

Leaf  went and sat in her favourite chair. Rose kneeled before her and made  to unfasten the anklet. Gob took his cue and went to unfasten one of the  bracelets. He tried to make eye contact with her but Leaf just stared  straight ahead, her face like a statue. An anklet came off first and Gob  saw her expression grimace. “Please be quick. I am trying not to let my  power flood back in case we damage the chains.” Gob did his beast and  in a moment all the chains were removed. Rose and Gob took a few steps  back to be safe.

Leaf's grimace turned into a look of peace and in  a haze of white light, the Mou appeared where Leaf the maid had once  been sitting. He stood up, examined his immaculately presented form,  sighed then looked satisfied. “I’m back,” he said.

Rose dashed  forward and embraced him, nuzzling her face into his chest. “I’m so  sorry for how I treated you. It felt so wrong. Please forgive me.” Gob  had never seen Rose cry before. It was a strange sight.

“My  darling Rose, you did better than I could have hoped,” said The Maou.  “I’ll not put you through that again. It’s not fair on you.” As he  stroked her hair he looked at Gob and instinctively gave him a sweet  smile before he realised how strange that must look and turned his gaze  away. Thank you, both of you. You made this silly idea of mine doable  and quite special. I…” The Maou looked at Gob only to see him collapse  like a dead weight onto the floor.

Rose and the Maou dashed over  to him. Any worries about displaying affection were gone as he cradled  Gob’s head. Gob’s eyes burst open and he screamed as his body convulsed.  The Maou acted quickly casting spells to contain Gob. Soon he was  floating in the air as magical symbols spun around him, the Maou’s eyes  darting from one to another as he tried to work out what was going on.  Eventually, he sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

“What is it?” asked Rose. “Is he going to be alright?”

“Yes, he will be fine, eventually,” said the Maou, looking serious.

“Eventually? What’s happening to him?”

“He is levelling up.”

“Why is it so violent?”

“Because he is levelling up thousands of times.”

Rose looked confused. “How is that possible?”

“While I was a maid we might have fooled around a bit,” confessed Leaf.

“I  know. I can’t say I was surprised. Especially with how delightful Gob  is in bed.” Leaf looked surprised. “Rumours make it to me eventually you  know and you did get walked in on. Why is that making him level up?”

“From  what I can tell like you level up from hunting and eating live prey,  Gob levels up when people sexually submit to him. I may have given  myself quite freely to him. When nothing happened the first time I  didn’t worry about it. I assumed that it worked off my human level which  was very low. I was wrong. The power just couldn’t get to him because  of the chains. My level is beyond measure. This is what happens to a  goblin when a creature of near limitless power submits to him, several  times.”

Gob’s body had ceased thrashing and the Maou lowered him  to the floor. He took up a lot more space than he had done before.  Laying there naked, Gob was as large as any demon or minotaur. He was  far taller than the Maou. His body was strong, rippling muscle. His  shoulders were broad, his waist narrow and his thighs like tree trunks.  He looked a little more monstrous than he had before yet he still held a  handsome bearing albeit a brutish one. His cock was now obscenely large  and both the Maou and Rose found themselves staring at it. Both of them  snapped out of it as Gob stirred and sat up slowly. “Ugh, what  happened,” said Gob, in his new deep, rumbling voice.

The Maou  walked over to Gob and held out his hand to Gob to help him up. He  hauled Gob off the ground until he was standing. He caught himself  checking Gob out and summoning some clothes on him. “You are currently  somewhere around level twelve thousand. I’m sorry Gob, I should have  anticipated this.”

Gob looked at his huge shovel-like hands and at how small Leaf and Rose looked. “Is this because we…?”

“Yes, it seems so. How do you feel?”

Gob clenched his fists and rolled his shoulders. “Incredible,” said Gob.

“I bet you do. You will have to be careful. You are probably the strongest guy in the palace excluding myself.”

“Really?” said Gob. Him, the strongest. He couldn’t believe it.

The  Maou liked seeing Gob so happy. He patted Gob’s arm. Gob smiled down at  him and Leaf smiled back but the smile didn’t quite make it to his  eyes. “Rose, can you deal with Gob’s new appearance in the morning,  please? I think people will be quite surprised to see him.” Rose nodded  and the Maou stepped away from them both. “I am going to take a couple  more days back as myself before I announce my return. I will be looking  after myself for that time so I won’t need either of you.” He saw that  both of them looked worried. “Don’t fret. I will be back soon. I just  need to get used to being me again.” With that, he vanished.

Gob looked at Rose. “Is he going to be alright?”

“I  think so,” said Rose as she walked towards him. “I have seen him truly  low and this was not it. I think he just has a lot to think about.” She  was now standing in front of him, her head only coming to his lower  chest. Her ghost body appeared and she rose up until she was face to  face with him. She smiled and it had a familiar predatory quality to it.  “I think it would be unwise for you to be seen around the castle before  I have a chance to talk to the staff. I feel it would be prudent if you  were to stay at mine tonight.”

“It would be prudent would it?” he smiled.

“Mm-hmm,” hummed Rose. “I think you should come to my room as quickly as possible.”

“Well, if it would be the prudent thing to do then I suppose we had better hurry my sweet little spider.”

Rose  hissed at him and moved to cover him in thread and bind him. The thread  seemed to move so slowly that he easily grabbed it. He yanked it to  sever it from her ghost body. She gasped as he picked her up in a  princess carry, her spider body dissipating. “I think I will keep my  full range of movement tonight,” he told her and she meekly agreed.
