Well... no more implying, this is a demonstration...
So... I started modding DooM on the side for no particularly sane reason (GZDoom specifically) after finding out about some weird scripting language they added to the game (shout-out to the ZScript tutorials on Youtube). I'm not on top of it really, it just looked cool.
I don't think there is another way to explain what I'm plotting other than... yeah.. I think I'm trying to add a pixel art 8-rotation imp UDTF into DooM as a mod. Maybe demons too, but I don't want to go overboard.
Ignore the levels shown, they are mostly just hacked levels or other crap to test monsters. X3
It's not in a state that I'd call 'playable'. The balance is waaay off, and everything is stiff.
It will eventually be freely available to all. But early access means early playtesting. >:3
There might also be a less horny imp transformations added too, for the normies, but it depends on how hard it is to make and edit sprites in an animation (these are all just stiff single frames).
I'm hoping this project brings back my enthusiasm toward pixel art game dev again.
All the AI art slop talks over the internet have been a bit of a mood killer. So... old-school DooM and pixels for a while...
I don't have any goals other than the transformation, maybe some small gameplay, and it'll be freely available for all at the end... nothing playable yet. I'm just hoping this isn't so completely out of left field as to fall off the ends of the earth X3
I would love to hear patron feedback, because that'll help decide how much effort patrons want to see toward this particular blend of madness.
