Sure, everyone talks about about the point of no return, but they don't stop to acknowledge the upsides of no return:
That brief window where you get to pretend you got to know a were-lizard with no consequences, the olive skin tones, the funny aftertastes, the part where you get some privacy as people try to avoid you, and the part where you're not worried about a lot because something else is temporarily doing a lot of the thinking for you.
And then you wake up, still almost entirely changed, at a complete stranger's place, and you get to watch the human across as they cross the point of no return.
Sometimes the grass is greener at the underside.
