Wow, ash, this comment legit made me tear up when i read it. it‘s so rare for me, i feel like, to create something that touches people in this way, in a way that actually echoes a while after seeing the piece, and the fact that you took a few days and yet came back to comment this absolutely lovely thing, makes my heart swell. <3 i am so happy when people like my work, but there‘s just something so. Fulfulling and satisfying when someone‘s reaction is this ^^^^^ . :‘)))) especially on a piece that‘s original, that i created from scratch, without the help of a show or a book or a game. 2020-02-02 09:22:19 +0000 UTCOk so I’ve been thinking about this piece for the last few days and I’ve meant to comment since you posted it. But I just haven’t really know what to say. Because “oh my gosh I love it it’s so pretty,” while true, doesn’t really seem like it’s enough. (Honestly it never really seems like enough on any of your works because they’re all fucking amazing, but I digress). First of all the coloring is absolutely gorgeous. The motifs of the blues/whites and pinks/purples perfectly mix cool and warm palettes so the vibes are just 💯 spot on. The repetition of the colors on the character and the background really bring the work together, too, and draw the viewer in. And then there’s her expression, which is just?? Perfect. I’ve always loved the way you draw facial expressions. You manage to put so much in them and it really enhances the entire work. But this one specifically. There’s awe and wonder and admiration to the point where you just can’t help but feel the same way. Like she’s just thinking “they look so pretty. And they look like me!” And you can tell it’s the first time she’s seeing them and it’s just in the edge of overwhelming, but in a good way. I saw this and her expression reminded me of the first time I saw the stripe of the Milky Way in the sky. Like, it was beautiful. A completely new experience, but it still felt almost familiar somehow? This has the same kinda feel. So yeah. I had a legit emotional reaction to seeing this. I love it so much and it’s really pretty! Thank you so much for sharing it with us 🤍
