Love this theory, im glad you specified that this is not always the way autism exists in people. I'm autistic myself and the media tends to portray autism in a negative light. What's interesting is that this is similar to the Tommy Westphall theory which is about a kid in the show St. Elsewhere which crossed over heavily with Homicide: Life on the Street which also crossed over with Law & Order. In St. Elsewhere the final episode implies that the entire show is a fantasy of Tommy Westphall implying all shows connected to St. Elsewhere are also which puts a bunch of shows into the supposed fantasy world. So law and order is no stranger to "its all in the mind of an autistic child" theories, but given some connected shows like Newhart are themselves dreams of characters, it creates a kind of inception style dreams within dreams scenario. Blue's Clues is perhaps just another layer here. Good stuff!
