Now the situation has turned in Nika's favor. In this world, even though mortals are becoming scarce, they continue to try to defend themselves.

And there are units that patrol, saving their fellow mortals!

This greatly benefits Nika's race.

But her immortal pride is affected...? Saved because she doesn't look immortal? After they beat her up... and literally try to squeeze her skull until it breaks?

Meanwhile, Daph is in shock and is shot with silver arrows.

While they are in her body, she is unable to move, and when they are removed, she will bleed to death unless they are stitched up, since she will not be able to regenerate.

What will Nika do with Daph now that she has no way to defend herself? Why did she come back to help her if in this world everyone looks out for themselves and their own kind?
