Manufacturing guinea pig mugs

So a looong time ago, I asked on Instagram if people would be interested in my work if some of my pottery were manufactured instead of handmade. I was really worried about asking this since I love handmade stuff, but I needed to look at other solutions if I wanted to make this mug more widely available while also being able to focus on new work.

I was really happy and encouraged to see that the majority of people who responded said YES! they would love a mug, even if manufactured instead of handmade.

So I'm excited to share that I'm *finally* doing it! I'm finally looking at how to manufacture this mug and am currently working with some companies to figure out how to make this a reality.

The first step is to make samples by sending them reference photos like the image above, along with measurements, pantone colors and up close details.

Then, receiving the samples in person to test out the quality and make changes.

Overall I'm really excited about this and will share more of the process and samples soon! And if this works out, it opens up a lot of doors and also the possibility of making more things in the future too :D
