When the process ended, his mind no longer pulsed with energy but shimmered softly, suspended in its sugar shell. The “candy brain,” glowed, its surface catching the light like crystalized sugar.
It is ready to be tried on. Slightly wet and ready to taste. His captor sucked dry his brain until there was no more caramel inside, just the crystallized parts of his brains— glimmering and full of flavor as he took parts of his brains to chew on as his "treat" remains still moaning as his mind gets consumed.
Outside, the wind howled through the broken shutters. Halloween night had delivered its trick — and its treat.
