After being captured, Maomao was apparently returned to the Verdigris house, knowing that she now had an owner. This owner didn't want to waste such beauty, and now she's part of the show. She's not only capable of serving food to the customers, but she herself is part of the entertainment. The best thing about having a soulmate is having a space where you can both have fun, appreciate each other's views in such tranquility... I'd say Soul and Maka can have these moments after arriving home exhausted from so much soul-hunting, a moment of connection that makes them even stronger.
