Ugh dude my now-husband and I got married while we had roommates and we just got SO sick of living with them. They were some of our best friends but it was so, so frustrating by the end and pretty much ruined the friendship. If you want input from a total stranger, I think your roommate is not thinking this through at all, and even though you can’t force them to leave, you guys have every right to ASK them to leave for the sake of your family. They might own that house for a couple years or 20, but this baby is gonna change your life permanently. And what if baby comes 2 months early? Do they really want to be woken up at 3am every night by crying or screaming? I think you have every right to say something like: “we don’t want to cause you stress. That said, this is an incredibly sensitive time for us, my stress levels during the end of pregnancy have an effect on my baby’s development, and my family really needs space to prepare for this major change. Ultimately it’s up to you, but we’re asking you for the sake of our future child if there’s any way you can be out by X date.”
