After watching Melody being hurled into the Abyss, being potentially outed as trans (and mocked for it) in front of the world, fumbling through an awkward interaction with Luster, and stumbling through yet another Marilith attack, Query is feeling like a failure and incorrectly blaming herself for many things.
Only a runed nose piercing protects her from Sasha and Impa, and those are easy to remove. Pain, debasement, submission. These are a kind of oblivion that someone like Query can hide in. She process her emotions in the language of sex, the language of a Succubi, and this book, this chapter of her story, starts out with her grappling with pain.
Strap in, darlings.

PS. I know I said this would come out next month, but this has about 25 chapters, so it works out perfectly to have one chapter come out this month and then whether we do three or four chapters a month here on out, we will be done on a round number. My brain likes this greatly.
