Big Monthly Post! New Build, Build Release Changes, The Couch Dev, Naomi outfits, Ultra Late Werewolf!

Hey peeps, sorry for the silence but as I said I've been in dev hell with a client project DX.

Soon as all that wrapped up, i immediately jumped on getting a build release for you guys, there's still more I want to get done this month but I hope this release gives some ideas of whats coming overall.

But first I want to explain changes in build releases which aren't completely changes just a clarification of what i'm capable of delivering. This was changed on SubscribeStar but not here but i'll do that after this post, along with a couple changes to subscribe star.

New Build

This release demos the functional Character Customization! You can change Naomi's outfit and view it in the dildo animation! There's also many improvements to the apartment scene. The preview for the new animation will come in a build later this month due to the new scene selection UI not being complete. Also the animation is incomplete.

For $5 and up patrons another build release will pop up after this post. 

Build Releases from now on

So from now on build releases will be in roughly three forms, Experimental, Rough and Release. 

Experimental will be broken messes and likely just build releases for when i'm testing something small.

Rough is mostly functional and more complete, but not up to my standards. 

Release for patrons may still have some rough edges, but it will be complete for my intent. But public releases will have further updates based on feedback but those releases will still be a month or so after the patron release.

This is to better reflect how i'm actually releasing things which is in more of a linear fashion. Thing is with "releases" i get so held up on nitpicking i hold back on making a release then client work gets in the way or something. So I want to lower the barrier for releases but intentionally structuring thing so if stuff is bad it's intentional lol.

So i want to make progress on a release, and release regular partial progress (Experimental or rough builds) to higher $5+ teirs at the very least. So if i have a couple days to work on stuff thats more likely to result in a build rather than just screenshots. 

This mentality will apply to The Couch as well. So expect "Rough The Couch Build Release x.xxx" or something titled like that for either game so you understand what the release is.

The Couch Dev

Development on The Couch has been picked up again by MiNT but very slowly as he's still in training amoung other factors. The above screenshot is some of the intro dialogue converted to the new asset we bought called Dialogue System which MiNT is aiming to meet our original goals using. 

As i said progress will be slow, but just wanted to make it clear it's being worked on and your support has helped MiNT a ton.

Our Apartment Dev

So let me outline the current mentality of future releases. 

The next "release" will have a scene selector which will be the foundation for all future animation releases. The main trouble I've had with previewing new animations or even just poses is making that content accessible easily in a build. So I've commissioned Eirexe to work on a scene selector to allow me to add animation and scene content hopefully quicker than before. So some of the stuff that's hidden you can access (like stuff i used to take images before).

For now though a "rough" release posted after this post will allow previewing the new animation content. But this preview is far from the main goal, it features only half the animations and the animation progresses automatically. 

Which brings me to "interaction" the current plan is for the animation playing to function similarly to "Wolf Girl With You" which was a main early inspiration for why I wanted to make Naomi in 3D at all. Basically animations can play in "loops" and progress by clicking a button or making a selection. And possibly I can include some dialogue as well, but that's not part of the initial goal. But this should give the animations more mileage. 

Over time i'll expand on this to have more "interaction" but for now as i said the content will be focused on animation releases. Besides this current "Modified Missionary/Deck Chair" animation I don't have an immediate plan for the next animation just yet. I have some ideas but they may change :P

Along side making the animation content, I'm planning many additional outfits too! Here's some mock ups below I did during my last stream, but i intend to do a lot more. As you can see i intend to make up for missing the werewolf painting by making it an outfit XD. let me know what you think of the design, i may still do the painting some day but for now this is planned.

You'll also see in the screenshot above that there's many slots for things that don't exist yet. I'd like to have a full set in due time, it might end up a bit janky with some animations but for me I think having the option to have the outfits is good enough even if it doesn't look great all the time.

Anyway there's gonna be stuff like different hair styles and such too.

I also need to work on cloth simulation stuff. but I've had some issues in that area... so unfortunately the baby doll negligee is stiff looking. But that's more stuff for "rough" builds later (trying to build that theme here lol).

I'll also be making some strides to make regular image releases easier too by using an in-engine rigging/posing solution, more updates on that later too.

Conclusion

Lets see, i think that's all I wanted to say so far with my plans and all that. As i said there should be one more build later this month.
