The Couch UI Update and Other News!

At the start of last month I had commissioned a UI artist to revamp our UI, all thanks to you guys :D. The prior design better suited gameplay development, but this is something closer to final and more long-term use. 

While this is not implemented yet because it's not quite complete, this is very much where we're headed. Main menu, settings menu, and logo will also be redesigned.

You will be able to see a full dialogue history, and can optionally make dialogue choices once a dialogue chain is completed (mainly to prevent glitches). This menu is still dynamic changing based on a variety of conditions and contexts. 

The interaction menu has been moved to the bottom, which is a scrollable row of icons for actions you want to take. This may change slightly depending on if you're on mobile or desktop, maybe making more icons visible at once. Right now the icons are text, but we have a very cute concept of what the actual icons will look like, so look forward to that!

Other Development News

In other news I'm making progress toward the next build finally, which may not include the UI changes, but will include the new positions "Legs Up" and possibly "Legs together" which needs some new assets to be implemented and might have a couple technical issues. 

There's some bugs with features for the arousal system so relating to mouth changes, so sadly I can't add the new mouth expressions in right now but i hope we get that fixed soon. Most of this work is just time consuming repetitive tasks, less anything difficult at least on my end.

There will be a build out before the end of the month, possibly two as a smaller update. This also means devstreams will start again soon, and yes Raffles too! Though due to the current pressure I'm under it may be another patron only half day one. 

As an FYI for dialogue/writing, our original writer is suffering from medical issues, so progress here has been low. But I really like the dialogue he's written and concepts he has for the story so I would like to hold out before doing anything if possible. This is also part of the delay with voice rewards. The Next Scene

I'm aiming to quickly complete the next scene, and get that content out. We're also looking at using a new animation system for all future scenes and future titles. I hope things allows me to more easily bring the detailed and realistic animations this project has been known for, and simplify dynamic features too.

I'm deeply sorry new content is taking so long thanks to last months events, but thanks to everyone sticking with us!

We'll update on that as time goes, since I need to test some stuff there. 

Updated Website

We're currently updating our website, and MiNT has started blogging there. Please check it out at momoirosoft.moe. Just know a some things are expected to change along with giving The Couch a proper page once some new content is finished. But this suits some plans as we move forward.

Conclusion

I know this is a lengthy post but don't let that fool you i'm still under a lot of pressure to catch up on work, and deliver on promises. I just refuse to let this project fall too far behind as well. I'm glad so many of you seem to be sticking with us, and I deeply thank you for your patience, it helps a lot!
