Still at the hospice so no devstream today, but a quick update on The Couch UI changes! We may be getting a one handed control scheme!
Added 2018-06-24 00:45:53 +0000 UTCAt the moment I'm at the hospice 24/7 cause my uncle could die at any moment. So I'm holding off on work for now but still sketching to pass the time. I'm posting these in our discord server for now, along with other updates until this suspension is resolved. Thanks to your support, at the beginning of this month I commissioned a UI designer to redesign the UI. So expect the game to have a new aesthetic, more clarity, and control. It's looking very cute, and we have a solution that allows dialogue, choices, and interaction options to all be visible and not be limited on how many we can display. Patrons will get a few preview images soon. Another benefit of this UI change is that we may be able to provide a one-handed keyboard configuration thanks to the icon layout. We'll likely be able to support left and right hands for this method. Left being using number keys and wasd type layout. Right using the number keys, probably with a modifier for numbers access. When these UI changes get implemented depends on priority, and my progress on adding the additional positions.
