Day 2 Post Surgery Update

Lewis is good! As good as can be expected for someone who just got their face sawed in half…

Speaking of… apparently Lewis COMPLETELY FORGOT that he was also getting his wisdom teeth out with this surgery. It wasn’t until the surgeon did he pre-surgery check & reminded him of the process that he recalled!… and then he forgot again, until he asked me (Jaz) today why the back of his jaw hurt so much.

Though the question sounded a lot more like “whhhdohmmfeeefthurrr”, but apparently I am fluent in surgically-assisted mumblecore Lewis.

He’s walking around slowly, got some sunshine, had a few naps, watched a lot of anime, hugged the animals & napped some more.

The swelling is quite bad today & expected to get worse tomorrow. Day 4 onwards it should start to shrink back to normal… unless he develops a secondary infection. The first week is the highest risk for this, so keep checking back in on our long boy!

I’ll let u know when he starts cracking jokes, that’s when we’ll know he’s really back to normal 🥹

Thanks for your support! He can’t wait to get back on stage to perform for you & make this whole thing worth it.
