2025-08-17 21:51:52 +0000 UTCIn this GOT history, all “bastards” in the north are given the surname Snow, so if your introduced to someone with the last name Snow you’d know they were a “bastard from the North.” All bastards born and raised in the region called Dorn, were given the surname Sand, in the region called The Riverlands, they were given the surname Rivers, and so on. Many regions had their own surnames for “bastards.” I think it’s mentioned again so I thought I’d try and help explain! 🫶🏼
