I would have sided with Abby all day because Harper was hiding her true self and hurting Abby in the process. Harper is lucky that Abby walked in a second time so Harper can finally come out and not be afraid anymore. From her tracking (lol) Abby down at the gas station, you can see Harper was true to herself and didnt care anymore what anyone thinks of her true self. Also, while Abby was 100% correct, I think she also needed to realize where Harper was coming from and all the baggage to be the "perfect" family and the trauma she has endured all her life too, which has taken a toll on her. In the end, I am happy they are together and working towards being happy. Most people don't find that one in their life and work at it.

I watched this when it first came out, and re-watching it with you two made me realize the treatment of Abby throughout was so much worse than I remembered! Harper and her family (save Jane) are trash, and I really wish the movie ended differently. (Justice for Riley!)
