Don’t watch Queen of the Damned. It’s embarrassingly bad.

I love that you love IWTV so much! Yall definitely need to watch Hannibal - very similar vibes and a really traumatic (but equally engaging) queer relationship

Vixali

I joined because I love your reactions and also to see if you'd consider watching the Hannibal TV series on Shudder. I know a lot of people that love Interview With the Vampire also love Hannibal, and it's also a horror.

One thing to note since I know y'all watch these episodes live, is that Jacob has said in the behind the scenes in the streaming on AMC+ is that he thinks Lestat would have saved Claudia if he had the energy to. But, he knew that he would only have the energy to save Louis, so he had to make a choice. So, I think his grief and guilt comes from not being able to save Claudia, not because he didn't want to but because he had to make a choice and was obviously going to chose Louis. But, if he could have save them both he would have done so.

I definitely recommend reading The Vampire Lestat, it's one of the best. Queen of the Damned is excellent too. The Vampire Armand is one of my favourites. There's a few stinkers in the series (Memnoch the Devil is a SLOGGGG and Blood Canticle was so unenjoyable I hardly remember it), but if you're avid readers I'd say just work your way through the series! But definitely, definitely read The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned. 💜

The Vampire Armand was definitely the most batshit of all the Vampire Chronicles books, IMHO (and also my favorite). It seems like S3 is going to retain the present timeline/past timeline structure, with QOTD as "present" and TVL as "past." My best guess is that S4 will be adapted from The Vampire Armand.

I loved this finale!!!! I love louie!! He has gotten so much stronger than he was. He kicked Armand's a$$!!! I was in awe of the acting in this finale. Perfection!! I got all the feels watching Lestat and Louie at the ending, so much chemistry. I can't wait till next season.

That’s not even something that’s in the first book. Interview with the Vampire.

Love, love, love this series, the part when Louie and Lestat are holding each other brought tears to my eyes. Armand has always been an awful vampire, he is a gremlin. I am so thrilled that there will be a season 3, the Vampire Lestat, my favorite book. Looking forward to seeing other vampires next season, Marius is my second favorite vampire next to Lestat, of course. Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson have great chemistry, hope to more of them together next season.❤️🌹

Magical Adorabella

This was an AMAZING episode. I am so excited for more of my baby Lestat next season, but I am hoping that there will be more interaction between him and Louis as well. Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson's chemistry is completely insane. ❤️ And lastly because it must be said one more time: Armand is the WORST!

I love the blood tears. This episode was everything. It tied up the season so well while also setting up season 3. Sam Reid as rockstar Lestat. I’m ready for it. I’m also interested to see where they go with Daniel and Armand because that was done differently in the books. The Vampire Lestat is my favorite of the books so I know I’m going to love next season. They just better find a way to work Jacob Anderson into every episode.

Stephanie Hensley

Yall I ugly cried when they reunited. lol You will definitely be seeing Claudia again (from Lestats perspective). I cannot wait. I still need to read Queen of the Damned but I love Lestat so much, TVL is my favorite book so far and I just KNOW S3 will be my favorite season!!

Kiki

OMG I LOVE THE BLOOD TEARSS! We weep for Claudia and Madeleine and rejoice in their retribution!

ChrisNThings

Bring on rockstar lestat!! I need him in the most slutiest outfits ever!

Sam Fernandez

Yes he cut off her head because she ask him if their was a way she can be in an adult body instead being in a child body that why he did that fyi

Leea Nolan

We still haven’t heard the trial from Lestat’s pov or even an Armand pov where he wasn’t trying to act like a victim. Pretty sure they’ll at least revisit the trial but from Lestat’s pov in s3

OMG guys thank you so much for watching this, none of my friends do despite me never shutting the fuck up about it (although that might be putting them off lol) so I've been so enjoying my weekly rewatch with you both, I'm really going to miss it but I'm excited for your July plans! Please enjoy this mini Armand essay lol. As an Armand stan I was shook by the revelation that he would have participated in what he assumed would be Louis' death as in the book & film he rescues him. I read an interview with Assad today where he said he'd played it that Armand was forced into directing, but I can also see that if you think about the timing of the betrayal it happened shortly after his conversation with Madeline which seems significant, he seemed rattled by it like he realised that she loves Claudia in a way Louis will never love him. Even though Armand is powerful show Armand strikes me as weak willed (which you can sadly understand from the back story he tells Louis in the Louvre); he goes and stays where he's told even though he's miserable and only changes up the Paris coven when Lestat gives him the confidence to do so. He tries desperately to hang on to his relationship with Louis over the years even though he knows it's only to spite Lestat and that there's barely any passion there. I definitely don't think Armand and Louis should be together, he was clearly a rebound for Louis and they don't have the chemistry he and Lestat have. He and Daniel on the other hand... 👀👀 Daniel gives him as good as he gets and their mutual snark was one of my favourite bits of the season, I was so gagged Daniel was turned (you guys guessed really early, I completely missed the nails!) and I am so looking forward to him hopefully chasing Armand down next season for being an absent vampire father 😅 So if you made it this far, Armand is a coward and probably deserves to be alone but I find his character interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing maybe some more passion from him next season, I think that's why my favourite episode was the San Francisco flashback. (Also he is the prettiest man/vamp of all time 😍😍)

Mary

This Armand is so much more tame than book Armand. Book Arman cut off Claudia and Madeline's heads, swapped them on their bodies to see if they would live and then exposed them to the sun to cover up what he did.

K

This episode blew my mind my brain heart and soul and c*ck.

Two French Bears React

You should both watch "The Queen of the Damned"; it delves into Lestat's rock star journey and Akasha's character. Akasha was the first vampire aka "The Great Mother".
