God I love this show. Seeing George descend into a power hungry bitch is so sad and yet so thrilling. Nicholas does such a good job portraying his moral decay with each episode. He really became who his mother raised him to be, I only wish the show was longer, it's over so fast!

2024-05-15 13:50:18 +0000 UTCGeorge, Kit, and Bacon were on the run because they were guilty of corruption, taking bribes, feathering their own nests, so to speak. Remember Kit in the mirror admiring all his jewels, and the new necklace and baubles George gave his wife? All corrupt dealings with people wanting property or, apparently, a good fucking by George, in some cases. A note: There was a lot more George got up to that isn't included in the series. Apparently, he infamously seduced the Queen of France. The English REALLY didn't like that, but...you know...it's George. Galitzine is SO amazing in this series, everyone is. I'm eager for awards season for everyone involved in Mary & George.
