It reminds me of when Seokjin was in middle school and they tried to scout him and he rejected just like Manon rejected at first. And then random tourists who came to korea stopped him and asked for pictures but he wasn't even an idol yet. Some ppl really do just have star quality, and sometimes others will hate them for it. But at the end of the day it's god given, you cant take it away from them. Sadly though the pressure can get to ppl like that and they can feel isolated. Manon is staying off of the internet bc people are obsessed with her, and I hope she keeps her mental peace.

2025-10-26 17:44:09 +0000 UTCAlso during Gnarly promotions in Korea. Megan and yoonchae were live on weverse and revealed that during dream academy, they actually hated each other and were fighting. And we didn’t even know that or see it because they didn’t show it in the documentary. Instead they wanted to focus on Manon drama, where 2 yrs later she is still getting so much hate and attack for it. That people say for Hybe to kick her out. They say she is always missing, not committed or jeopardising the group. And as you’ve seen nowadays sometimes shes not there for important schedules due to illness or injury. Just like Megan who is the second member who is sometimes missing or sick but haters seem to always want to be on Manons ass. It’s not girlie fault she has a weak immune system. I’m a Manon bias but even others say “it’s not easy being a Manon Stan”. We be fighting people online everyday 😤 It has gotten so bad guys, that I saw on twitter the other day, that she is getting death threats leading up their tour starting in mid November. It was trending on X, with fans calling out HYBE to protect their artists.

2025-10-26 09:02:29 +0000 UTCThe whole Manon drama that is still happening till today started from this stupid documentary 😅 It started with Lara, Sophia and the other girls being upset with her not showing up, not being committed and breaking the rules. However, they have spoken up that any of the drama that happened years ago has been resolved (because when the doc was first released Lara and Sophia got hate for things they said about Manon). And they said they were young and teenagers and even if they were fighting back then, they are closer now because of it. All the girls have constantly spoken up about how close they are, like sisters even if they are not together anymore. Though she missed practice and other schedules due to illness or she didn’t feel like going (at 12:29 where she wasn’t sick). She wasn’t the only one, the others did it too. So idk why the label was only focused on her in the documentary. Cause years later Mitra (President H&G) said in an interview that showing up to practice wasn’t compulsory but more on the trainees choice to be there for their team and be committed. So that was why they were probably upset, because they would show up and put in the work but then Manon would get placed high on fan votes due to her looks and less on skills (but she has definitely improved over the years). So of course anyone would get mad. But in the end she held herself accountable and sat down with the other girls to solve the issue.

2025-10-26 09:01:14 +0000 UTCBen really started something with that question 🤣🤣. Honestly, I feel like star quality can be both born and made. A big part of it comes down to aura and looks. Before I even started listening to Katseye or getting into their music, I was instantly drawn to Manon — she was the first person who stood out to me and made me want to check out the group she just as something that catches your eye. Through her, I started noticing the other members and appreciating their talents too. As for her missing practices, that was because she was sick — and it’s still clear to this day that she gets sick pretty easily. There were other contestants who missed practices too, but it was never made into an issue, probably because people didn’t feel as threatened by them as they did by Manon.

The judges might be more open and forced on what the public wants but it’s a bit of both (their feedback matters). But it’s wild to see how it has drastically changed before and after going public. Emily who is the no.1 dancer & the first who got into level A. Adela who was also ranked high in dance. And Megan who also got ranked first overall in most categories a few times. For the two trainees who go eliminated. Hinari just celebrated her 16th birthday in Feb. But there is not much information on what she is up to now or if she will be in another group. While as for Adela, few months ago she signed with Capital Records (other artist include Doechii, Katy Perry, Ice Spice, JLo, Coldplay etc). She has released her debut album and has already done a (small venues) mini tour in America. And apparently it was announced few days ago that she is joining Demi Lovato on tour next year as special guest (opening for her).
