experimenting with fire effects
Added 2025-09-20 20:15:06 +0000 UTCI've been avoiding working on this shot for a long time, since I thought it would be complex. But I actually figured out an easier way to get it done.
I'm using a flicking red light in Blender to simulate the flame, and simply adding a video of a real candle flame later in After Effects. I am really proud of the result so far!
If I had tried to make a 3D flame simulation in Blender instead, it would've taken all day and probably wouldn't look as good!
