I was going through my archive of your older pics, and I ran across these: https://ibb.co/album/6R96MS They're all excellent tape gags! And I think what separates them from your current style is the amount of detail. Tape isn't this perfect, uniform substance. It gets wrinkles, and it's a little shiny in some places, and it looks better with more than just two layers. I think going back to your old style of tape wrap, or maybe finding a happy medium between current and past, would be a huge improvement.
