Hope everyone's been doing well. After 4 relatively tensed up weeks, it almost feels like we can breathe a little easier here in Singapore. I can't hide the fact that it's given me low-key anxieties, and coming up with fresh ideas with a positive outlook has been challenging!

So this is basically the very first page of Meatier Showers 2021 - a snappy quick introduction to what one might expect in this chapter. I feel it manages to capture most of the basic information that needs to be conveyed to readers.

Folks have noticed that I've toned down my characters physiques quite a bit compared to older titles. I'm not entirely sure how to explain myself either. I still draw my lifeguard lion extra large on my art streams, and they've been primarily for self-indulgent purposes. Pridestar has been toned down to a more athletic swimmer build mostly to emphasize the size difference between him and my lifeguard lion (because you know, that's a thing for me.)

I think that with the response I've gotten from Meatier Showers 2020, I've wanted to make the series more accessible to a wider audience. I also wanted to imbue the series with more sex positive conversations. I think that since I've indulged myself with all the buffness in previous comics, I've started to "rebalance" the designs and proportions a bit to suit the needs of the comic, so as not to visually distract from the heart of the story, If it's a sex-only comic, I might actually allow myself to let loose more.

For the most part, "Swole Mates" was originally intended to just be one sexual muscle inflation romp... but upon hitting page 3, a lot has gone through my mind and there's been almost a frantic process to fix the story and adjust the narrative, something I'll explain in more detail when we get there.

Those of you on board this journey for the first time will get to witness my creative process, worts and all. There's going to be lots of experimentation, mishaps and reiterations during this story development phase, and I hope that you'll find it all insightful and engaging as we transition from a finished project (Meatier Showers 2020) to an all-new comic built from scratch (Meatier Showers 2021).
