But eventually go back to her debut album, Sour - I think it showcases her songwriting and vocals better, and shows what skyrocketed her to fame. She has a "Sour Prom" collection of live performances on her youtube, which could be a fun way to watch them. She also has Tiny Desk Concerts for both albums...might be interesting to watch them chronologically to see her evolution!

She has ballads and up-tempo songs. Besides the obvious 90s influences from producer Dan Nigro, Olivia grew up listening to the 90s and 2000s alternative music that her mom liked. She's performed twice at the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony - a solo performance of "You're So Vain" for Carly Simon's induction in 2022, and a duet with Sheryl Crow on "If It Makes You Happy" for Sheryl's induction in 2023. Olivia also inducted Alanis Morissette into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2022. Her 2022 album Sour earned her 7 Grammy nominations - she won 3: Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Her 2024 album Guts also got 7 Grammy nominations, including one for Best Rock Song ("Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl"), though she didn't win any that year. The song she wrote the most recent Hunger Games movie, "Can't Catch Me Now," is nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 2025 Grammys. She won the ASCAP Songwriter of the Year award in 2022 for "Driver's License", "Deja Vu", and "Good 4 U", and won it with producer/co-writer Dan Nigro in 2024 for "Bad Idea, Right?" and "Vampire". She is one of 6 music acts to "headline" 2 NPR Tiny Desk Concerts.
