2024-10-31 18:57:33 +0000 UTCIf you do Folklore, I highly recommend you do the Long Pond Studio Sessions because it gives interviews with the three before each song and they say what their thoughts were on making each song. Plus it sounds extraordinarily good live. They’re just having fun, singing it together for the first time and it’s so fun. It’s on Disney+, but I’m sure the whole thing is on YouTube somewhere. Hopefully the interviews are there because it really adds depth and insight into the songs.

2024-10-30 16:42:12 +0000 UTCSpeak now is my favorite!! a lot of people at the time were saying that Taylor was too young to be actually carrying her weight in songwriting sessions. She wanted to prove them wrong so she wrote this album all by herself. I definitely recommend reading the prologue before reacting to any of the albums…. it definitely gives a lot of insight and context into Taylor’s life when she made the album. it has a little more pop rock influence in this one which makes it my favorite!! Also I can’t wait for you to hear, dear John it’s her most gut, wrenching song besides all too well in my opinion. It’s her reflecting on her relationship with John Mayer, where she was 19 and he was 32.
