Harry Styles - Daylight (Audio)

We talk about this more in the video, but we have slept on a lot of pop music due to our age or tastes, but Harry Styles? This is SUPER impressive!

This Patreon reaction is around 3 minutes longer than the YouTube, so you'll see some additional jokes and maybe more awkward pauses #behindthescenes - LOVE YALL, BYE

I can thank Harry for discovering your content. Love what you all are doing here. I'm Gen X myself...and a vinyl nerd...I have discovered that you absolutely can not go wrong with anything Harry Styles. And when you finish with him, look out 1D rabbit hole. They sucked me in as well. You won't regret it!

Bex

Can’t wait to see more Harry reactions! Just watched the album reaction which was amazing. Y’all are definitely a unique perspective when it comes to reaction channels, I’m a lyricist myself, I’ve always been but I’m really loving/learning so much while watching y’all react to my favorite artist. Y’all should definitely behind the album for his debut. And of course, react to his other albums. Can’t go wrong with live performances either!

Erandy

I really hope as far as his albums you might listen to them all in order. It’s amazing to hear his growth and I think all the albums in full are the best way to experience them!!

Sky

I agree!!! Can’t believe how many grown men I have watched start by reacting to Harry and they they listened to One Direction and then from there fell down the rabbit hole of all their discography and all the boys solos discography and they go to shows and everything. It’s my favorite thing to watch!!!!!

Sky

SOOOOO excited to see more Harry content! His album Harry’s House won best album at the Grammy’s after it came out! The whole album is amazing. Please do a whole album reaction for Harry’s House! Also, his live videos (Coachella stuff, unreleased song Medicine, any of his covers, his duets with Stevie Nicks) are amazing. I think y’all would really love his stuff!

Jillian Vidaurri

Harry has an unreleased song called medicine this live performance https://youtu.be/T3-a8njTju4?si=H5j3miRq83SxB4qO is one I think you guys will really like, I feel you will love him more just watching him on stage!! I also think his cover of sledgehammer https://youtu.be/Tqm7-zN5s8k?si=TeS0MBEVgdwNvEVV Also his Coachella performance with Shania Twain (52.30) and his performance of kiwi (1.09.26) https://youtu.be/eJgE4seVaHY?si=eWzUZx0zg9c8Axvu I know this is a bit different from what you normally do but his carpool karaoke I feel his singing in it is amazing and you get to see his personality and why the fans love him https://youtu.be/JvLLx0cpJVI?si=8llRuW-_9ynCb1wW I have plenty more suggestions but I’ll leave you with these 😆

Teaghan Doyle

I agree 100% 😀

I think if you were ever interested in listening to One Direction, you would really enjoy it. It’s pop with major rock influence. Outside of the hype of One Direction (in which I am also involved) the music is SO good. I would love to hear your perspectives on the instrumentation in their music, because it has always connected with me sonically in a way that not a lot of music has. I love hearing what you guys have to say, major fan now!

I just joined solely because of your reaction to Harry. I discovered his solo work during the pandemic and he has quickly become one of my favorite artists. I feel like he takes a lot of inspiration from the 70s & 80s which is right up this GenXers alley. Excited to watch this journey. His music videos and live performances are so great. Looking forward to watching all your other videos too!

Carmen Nguyen

So excited for you guys to dig in!! Harry is excellent. I would recommend Grapejuice!!

I just joined - I'm so excited to see some Harry reactions. He's really really good! His live performances and covers are always amazing and he's got a really broad range of styles across his three albums. Some of my personal faves are his covers of Sledgehammer, Wet Dream, and Girl Crush...I was about to try and list some of my favorite songs but it's almost impossible to narrow it down. Harry also makes really creative and interesting music videos. Last thing I'll say is that one thing that strikes me as unique about Harry is that he's got a close relationship with his band and they really feel like more of a band than a pop star with a backing group. I'll stop there!

Robyn

So excited to see more Harry content from you guys! I'm 26 now so I grew up constantly being mocked for liking bands like One Direction, so it's great to see people finally taking them seriously as the talented artists they are. Don't feel bad that you are late to the pop game, there is so much music out there in the world that it's impossible to be on top of it all. Just think of it as an exciting opportunity to hear a bunch of cool new stuff!

Live acoustic one take version of “Boyfriends” on the YouTube channel “The First Take” https://youtu.be/hJermMmkVFw?si=461n2R9iF5X4yprX Or his Tiny Desk episode. Always good. Your reaction to Chappel’s tiny desk was fun!

SharonM

Harry is definitely one of my favorite artists. He just can’t make a bad song in my opinion. I may be a little biased though since I’m 23 (older gen z) and One Direction and Harry’s music were a massive part of my late childhood and my teenage years lol. Here are a few of my favorite songs of his off of each of his albums if yall want to check them out sometime: From his self titled: Sign of the Times, Two Ghosts, Carolina, and Kiwi From Fine Line: Golden, Falling, She, and Fine Line From Harry’s House: Music for a Sushi Restaurant, Satellite, Matilda, and Keep Driving

LeAnna

I am much older than Harry Styles, but I found his music and fell in love with it. He is amazing! I've now seen him in concert twice and they were hands down the best concerts I've ever been to. Can't wait to see you guys explore his music. I especially love Kiwi, Sign of the Times and Medicine. Also, as a fellow Gen Xer, his cover of Sledgehammer on the Howard Stern show is GREAT and really shows off his killer band.

misstaminion

So glad you’re getting into Harry! I can give some background on the One Direction of it all if you’d like. There was no lead singer of 1D, they were all pretty even. I’d say he was one of the more popular members (though they were all deeply beloved) because he is very funny and charming so people were drawn to his personality. He has also always been very very kind and a really good guy, which makes it easy to be a fan. His solo career has been the most successful (his and Zayn’s are both pretty successful) and all of his 3 albums are great. His concerts are incredible as he puts on a great show and has an absolutely killer live band. And his banter on stage as he interacts with the crowd is always hilarious if you ever want to get a feel for his personality!

Rachel P.

How cool is that? Thanks so much for this!

JT

awesome!! I feel like his band has to be SICK to pull of this kind of music - thanks so much

JT

Thank you!!! We'll do it!

JT

Gen-X here! I was never a One Direction fan (no reason, just never got into them), so when they broke up and the guys started going solo, I kind of….didn’t care. (Not in a nasty way, it just wasn’t on my radar). Then Harry started getting buzz with his first solo project and I listened out of curiosity. I was BLOWN AWAY. He is genuinely, legitimately impressive. And the more I learned about him, the more I learned that he is not only a gifted musician and performer, but he is a remarkably good human. And he’s FUNNY. You’re probably going to get a lot suggestions to do “Sign of the Times”, which was his first solo single and so it’s naturally a great place to begin. Really showcases his vocals. That being said, here are some other suggestions, per album: HS1-(Classic rock influences) Sign of the Times Only Angel Kiwi Fine Line-(most accessible album, excellent pop, reminiscent of 70’s) Golden Sunflower vol. 6 Harry’s House-(Won AOTY, very funk inspired pop ) Music for a Sushi Restaurant Satellite Cinema I honestly could have listed every song off of every album, he has no “bad” songs, I just went with songs that showed a range of who he is and how he has evolved. I am so excited to watch you go on this journey. You are exactly where I was a few years ago, and I am now a HUGE Harry fan. I think you’re going to feel the same.

Kimberly Moeller

agreed Harry is sooo good!! you would probably also like Kiwi live - very classic rock and roll type song! his band is amazing as well you are going to love them!

Debzie3

Excited to see you guys dive in to yet another artist I love. Harry’s house, his third album, is so so good. Definitely worth listening to. However, I highly recommend a live version of Sign of the Times which was his solo debut single.
