On health and returning from a hiatus in two (three) weeks (Updated)
Added 2025-06-20 05:57:32 +0000 UTCHi everyone! You all are the best readers ever, which is why I'm sad to say that I ended up getting sick twice during my break (a truly terrible stomach flu for about half a week, which made me lose 10 lbs, and a cold for about a week). Then my AC broke during a short heatwave and took nearly a week to fix. As a cold-running dragon, the nearly 85-87 F weather did not help my brain functionality.
All of this made it impossible for me to complete the work I had planned. It's been a hell of a month. (つ╥﹏╥)つ
I'm so sorry I wasn't able to do what I needed. You are all so awesome that I wanted to get you the next chapter by Sunday. I'm going to keep my Patreon paused until July 5th or 6th. Hopefully, I'll have the work done that I need to by then. Regardless, I'll get you a chapter that week.
The good news is that I do feel a lot more mentally healthy (though my physical health still feels off ).
Also, some good news! Mr. Dragon has an interview lined up very soon. Considering how much his co-workers respected him over the years, I have faith he'll do well. If not at this job interview, then the next.
Thank you for your patience and for being the lovely reader you are!

Update:
I'll let you guys know this when I post next week, but I ended up spraining my back on Wednesday. Thankfully, I have a very good chiropractor who helped me out on Thursday and let me know that my pain was due to an injury that I still don't know how I did it. If I'm still in pain next week I'll have to go back, but hopefully by treating my back well, I won't have to.
Frankly, I was going to try to push through the pain to edit anyway for you all, but I decided against it. There are too many amazing creators out there who go on long hiatuses due to having a bad back. I want to try to avoid that. And part of that is making sure my back doesn't get worse.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. And I'm sorry that I have to postpone the next chapter again.

Thanks so much for always keeping us updated about the story and any delays. You’re one of the most skilled AND most conscientious writers I know. As for the back pain, I’m so sorry that happened to you. Some of the most agonizing pain I’ve ever had was herniating a disc in my back, and I couldn’t take time off for my training program, which involved a lot of walking and standing. Please focus on recovery rather than us readers! Hopefully spending time with your family and staying active will help your healing go smoothly!

2025-07-08 15:23:38 +0000 UTCOh, that so sucks. Seriously, back pain is just behind evil. That said: If we look at how often you get sick and how often our adorable little monster... well she is grown up now?... curses and want to hurt you, maybe being nicer to her would help? Just send little spring to do a perma adroabelness attack on lin to keep her mind for the next few thousand yeras otherwhere? Just an idea. ;) Oh and i prefer it colder too, we had 37°C, whats that in F? 100? XD And down here ACs are uncommon (yeah, green politics made electricity expensive, who'd have guessed? ^^).

2025-07-05 09:03:42 +0000 UTCHey, brand new here!! Just wanted to say that I am so glad to have found your story. (Fairy Lins story) I binged it in under a week. 🤭 Then I went back and read the April Fools content. To be honest, I’m kinda sad it’s not it’s own book. I hope you feel better soon, and am looking forward to reading more.

2025-06-22 01:56:13 +0000 UTCHiho, sad to hear you got sick (again) - but hey, at least this time you had your favorite dragon around to pamper you, rigth? :-D

2025-06-20 15:32:46 +0000 UTCIt is interesting how fast you can lose weight without really noticing while ill. I had something serious a while ago and was 15 kg lighter after. Now that went over a longer span of time and came with reduced appetite for quite a while but still.
