Take a break.

Each of us has his own pace, and when a model asks for a break, you have to give it.
Better still when you sense they are reaching a limit in their attention, and ask if they want to take a pause.
Sometimes I need a pause myself, to make up my mind about what to do next, so I propose we both take a break, whilst I prepare a new set.
Frequently, the model want to smoke, but in that case I might transform the the break in a new opportunity to take photos, especially when the model need frequent smoking pauses, or the total time of the shooting may end up drastically shortened.
Moreover, as for me it is important to preserve a natural and casual behaviour from my models, having them being themselves is an opportunity to make them feel at ease, and relaxed in front of the camera.
