Creating art together, in multiple ways...

The trip to Milano on the Seven has been a nightmare, due to the bad weather.
The solid line of traffic starting from Monza stadium, was caused by the flood of the tunnel leading on the north circular road (tangenziale nord) I was planning to take.
Once I realized the road was closed, I had to move to the next entrance of the north circular, wasting a long time in the process.
So the usual trip of 50 min. lasted over 2,5 hours.
Fortunately I left home with plenty of time to spare, to make the check in one hour before my appointment with Dovile, and prepare the room.
In the end I was just 15 min. late, and Dovile was so grateful to allow some more time to compensate for my delay.

When I was nearly there, I went into a deep pool across the last junction in the road, and the hood of the Seven was completely covered in water, with a great quantity getting into the car, wetting my trousers and flooding the passenger footwell.

Notwithstanding all the problems (also Dovile was pretty much soaked), as soon as we got into the room, we started working in a very good mood, and eager to create something meaningful.

Of the 4 cameras I used, the GFX 50S II with "Martin" mounted on the front, has been used very little (204 photos on a total of 1341), but it was used for this full figure portrait, and I love the result.
The reason for this neglect of the flagship camera of the moment, is due to the fact that when the panties drop, whatever is your plan, everything goes sideways.
The camera I ended up using more during the day has been the X100VI, with 614 photos, because I was just mesmerized by what Dovile was doing, and I needed something fast to work with, moving around her, getting closer for details, and forgetting my role as a photographer as much as possible, to become only a witness.
Every time I remembered about my mission as a photographer, in the periods between her 2 main love performances, I was going back to the "serious" cameras, to grab the pro cameras.
These photos are so different from the ones we shot 6 years ago, and it is an interesting contrast to see them side to side.

Today I'm in Milano again, shooting with Demi, so tomorrow you're going to get a preview of her.
The next photo of Dovile is scheduled for Monday, when I will post 3 photos across all platforms.
I feel privileged for having had another chance to work Dovile, and I'm looking forward to another shooting next year, if she decides to come again in this period, hoping the third time we can finally have some good weather!

Your pictures are beautiful - but your words are amazing too. I am sorry you (and your Seven) had such an uncomfortable journey, but "when the panties drop, whatever is your plan, everything goes sideways" is truly profound! I hope your trip to shoot with Demi is less stressful.

Sorry for your struggle, but the result is fantastic!
