Important Announcement: Terminating Patreon

It has come to my attention that someone has been leaking/scraping and reuploading my Patreon-exclusive content.

I am only one person, not a corporation, nor a machine (if that was not already apparent from the rate of which I work due to chronic pain).

It takes a lot out of me to create something, and I know I have very few pieces compared to other creators who run Patreon or similar services, so it is especially damaging to see every single one of those works redistributed against my consent.

For reference, I dedicate around 12 hours a day on average to drawing--half of that time taking breaks, switching between my hands and feet that are able to draw in order to not strain all of them--so that it is possible for me to keep up with my peers. If not physically, it is emotionally tiring to find ways around my growing limitations.

As it is, I do not think the deterioration to my mental and physical health is worth it to continue creating, yet I did not want to disappoint those who have been so kind to me in this fandom.

With AI devaluing creators and social media platforms making it hard for them to have any reach or presence, (alongside the demoralizing belief that art is not a Real Job) my family pressures me to pursue a different career, and I have persisted in spite of it all. This though, is my breaking point. I felt so nauseous and discouraged to see that people would do this.

I am retiring. I have frozen billing cycles and subscriptions so I can finish out the month to not blindside any new patrons. There will be no charges for the next 30 days, which will give people ample time to unsubscribe.

I have refunded those who have purchased annual plans for the months they have outstanding. Please give it a few days to process. I will contact you to make sure that it went smoothly.

For the offender(s): Please do not take content creators for granted, especially when they put out free content while receiving backlash for monetizing their works. Said works should not be treated as public property that is "gatekept" behind a paywall.

For everyone else and especially those recently joined, I am truly sorry for being unable to live up to your kindness and generosity. Please feel free to unsubscribe during this time.
