You can take my word for it, your hand does close on the fence and it is really hard to let go, even when you know the pain will stop if you do! The one up side was, after getting zapped for about twenty seconds before I finally escaped, I spent the next thirty minutes feeling like I could have sprinted a marathon. :-)

2025-06-28 05:44:14 +0000 UTCSo a weird thing I learned with electricity is that it makes muscles contract so if a person touches an electrical fence with their palm, the shock will make the hand snap closed and grab the wire making it harder to let go so they keep getting shocked. If a person tests an electric fence with the back of their hand, the hand should snap away but don’t take my word for it or try it at home. It will still hurt like hell. I would definitely run this by a few smart people
