I wanna say their is like options. Do you keep what avengers 5 was and just replace kang with doom? But no they got mcfeely right? So than i heard another theory. Could HIDDLESTON be used to what kang could have been? I mean a beyonder like role even for doom? I think the bigger question for me is what makes spiderman 4 important enough to be between doomsday snd secret wars?

I personally love this because I know they are not going to continue being the "new" X-Men. As in No Way Home, it will be a love letter to Marvel fans from way back. It already started with Wesley Snipes in Deadpool, the OG Marvel live-action hero!

Marvel did it again, and with a set of (mostly) empty chairs! 😂 I was blown away with Tom Hiddleston's presence, but what got me screaming was Sir Ian McKellen! *chef's kiss*

But I fear if everyone is gonna go see the movie anyways, then they won't stop. I don't know the solution here. There probably isn't any, other than to trust them. It's not a democracy after all.

Get it all out of our system, bring Hugh and the Spider-Men back for Secret Wars, but let’s be done with this after SW please!

2025-03-27 12:14:47 +0000 UTCDisappointed by: No Scarlet Witch, no Spider-Man, no Eternals, and Robert Downey Jr as Doom. Excited for: Namor returning and crossing paths with Sue Storm, Sir Ian Freakin McKellen back as Magneto, Shang Chi’s return, LOKI’s return, a potential Avengers V X-men story, and the inevitable Massive Marvel Rewatch before May of next year. Also, I am assuming that this X-men universe is the one with Monica Rambeau trapped in it. Revealing Kelsey Grammer first kinda alludes to this because he was the last X-Man we’ve officially seen, other than the Deadpool characters. I don’t think DPs universe is the same as where Monica is and I have a feeling this X-men universe is going to have an incursion with the Sacred Timeline (still not calling it 616 until it feels like 616, after Secret Wars). Overall I’m more excited for this than I was. The Russos haven’t had a great track record EXCEPT for how they handle the Marvel characters. Everyone is always at their best in a Russo movie, so I’m excited. Still hoping for a mind-blowingly good reason to have RDJ as Doom.

2025-03-27 12:04:53 +0000 UTCI saw Tom Hiddleston's post on Instagram before I saw the entire cast reveal, and I was a bit confused about what it could mean. Then, I saw the Russo brothers post afterward, and I was like, "woah." I never truly believed what Marvel/Disney shows us at the beginning of these marketing campaigns, and I suspect a lot of things will change before it arrives in movie theaters.

Also Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler might be the biggest shock. Been over 20 years since we seen him in that makeup. The Cyclops Redeemed Train hopefully continues what X-Men 97 started. And cmon Channing getting to come back as Gambit almost made me cry. Love that for him.

2025-03-27 09:12:13 +0000 UTCVery very surprised about the original X-Men cast, especially Ian McKellen. Been wanting Magneto in the MCU for a long while. Loki's return is a nice-to-have, also remembering back to his Endgame line 'the sun will shine on us again..' spoken to Thor, the reunion of those two again I hope. This is only a fraction of the full cast list, and both Marvel & RDJ confirmed via Instagram that there's more to come later in the year so, likely the cast of Deadpool & Wolverine, plus cameos, still holding out for any of the Eternals, the rest of the old Avengers, there's even potential for a Black Widow return. Just think What If..? for possibilities. The F4 will likely travel through the Multiverse and escape their planet after Galactus destroys it. Just a theory that I had, Reed was also researching multiversal travel on one of his drawing boards. I just wish that this casting announcement happened later in the year after the release of the Thunderbolts at the very least, it spoils that movie and solidifies which characters live and which die.

Now assuming the movie is an incursion between FoX and MCU leading to Secret Wars. Does this mean RDJ’s Doom is from X-Men’s universe is a third option after MCU or FF’s retro future earth?

2025-03-27 05:00:28 +0000 UTCThe big swing was clearly the OG X-Men! I think it will be an A vs X incursion battle in the style of Time Runs Out. And a larger storyline with Reed and Doom. I think the Void will end up as battle world, with God Emperor Doom "pruning" the heroes at the end of all things, in some flawed hero/narcissist gesture.

2025-03-27 04:54:17 +0000 UTCI am so hyped, over the moon about this because I grew up watching X-Men with the original cast so to see them officially join the MCU is such a special moment to me and when the X-Men theme was blended into the Avengers theme, I was so close to crying my eyes out. I hope the movie doesn't fail to deliver and give the X-Men cast the justice and screen time they're long overdue for and deserve.

I'm wondering why they didn't include Teyonah Parris and Lashana Lynch given the post-credits for The Marvels and Beast confirmed for Doomsday. I get this is a partial list, but why wait for those two? Alan Cumming was a wildcard out of left field but I love the character and he was fantastic in X2. And with Rebecca Romijn being cast, does this mean these characters will be pulled from different points in time like NWH? Or are they going with the cure eventually not working as it did with Magneto? I'm hoping they leave a few surprises us during the film itself. Though this does inadvertently imply Taskmaster isn't making it out of Thunderbolts* as many have speculated. Love the addition of The Sentry and Namor. I also get the feeling most of the movie won't take place in 616 which honestly sounds great to me. Have Doom ravage the multiverse eventually bringing him to the doorstep of 616.

I’m still a little perplexed why the F4 and Doom were part of it. They were confirmed at SDCC and it’s not like the news stayed in the room. Maybe if they were presented as reminders more than brand new information the pacing might’ve felt better
